Foden must have been devastated when Gundo came back. He’d finally, with KDBs absences, got to play his favoured position and was PL player of the year. Then Gundo returns….

Don't blame any player for the drop off in form other than Foden, illness, burnout or lack of motivation who knows but he needs to get his act together quickly.

Presumably for those that have posted here the last 5 pages who think he's washed, never was that good, has been found out and massively over-rated...

You'd be happy with him going to liverpool or arsenal?

Critisism is the last thing Phil needs right now. He’s had a tough year on and off the pitch. Just get behind him and he’ll be back as normal.

If we sign Wirtz which we both hope to do, do you honestly see a way for him in the starting lineup?

And lets be honest about physical injuries too..

Kun wasn't the same after meniscus.
KDB wasn't the same after his hamstring.
Even Colin Bell wasn't the same after that horror tackle from the rag.

We all wish it wasn't the case but it turned out that way.. so makes sense for club to hedge here!

There's over the top criticism but there's some of us being realistic that it may not pan out the way we want it to despite our hopes, thoughts and prayers.

If we sign Wirtz, and definitely if we get Reijnders and MGW, I can easily see a winger leaving along with Grealish. I can’t see Phil leaving any time soon, but it’ll be tough for him to get into the team unless he can get back on form.

If it made him a happier player, yes. It's been painful to watch him struggling this season. The team isn't benefiting from him being around atm. The lad needs a fresh start, he's been in the City bubble for too long.

No way on God's earth should we sell Foden. He is clearly exhausted physically and mentally. Just like Jac, scrub that, like all our players he has been kicked with impunity since that merchant banker Webb came back.

Exhausted from what? Foden has been very looked after since he came onto the scene, Pep didn't play him every week like you get with a Saka or a Yamal now. What you're seeing is a player that's not evolved, he lacks the football intelligence to think off the cuff and make things happen.

How many excuses do people have ? From wrong position , Southgate, rice and Bellingham hate him and don’t pass him the ball , private problems, needs Rest, babymomma problems, media issues, auto immune disease ( which no one close ever mentioned so he is still always in the squad) to some guy called Webb being the reason.
What else ? The pope died too early and it hit Foden?
He is just playing like shit and has 1 move and if that move doesn’t work his whole game doesn’t work

He's very fortunate to be from Stockport or else he'd be getting far more criticism. He's been appalling when he's played this season. When you're the PFA Player Of The Year you have to meet those standards. He's not taken responsibility in a single game of football this season.

I hope he gets back to his best but he really needs a big year next year for me.

There's no way that Gundo was intended to play as many as he did. De Bruyne's injury and Foden's drop off meant he took on far too much of the creative burden

Since 2018 Phil has played in 359 games Saka has played in 306.
Yamal has barely started
Why don't you eff and support someone else.

Why have you got two logins?

Yes, if the transfer was right. He's not mentally strong enough to be our main man.

This player looks completely finished. Honestly, no offense, but he can’t even control a simple pass without it bouncing five meters away from him. There’s zero creativity, nothing bold or risky in his game - just another Samir Nasri, a total passenger on the pitch. Horrible today.
Samir Nasri was a fantastic player and played a key role in helping us with titles.
