Bernardo Silva: “Something has to change. You learn who you can go to war with, first of all"

Again - I’m not having a go at you PB & BS - but is this opinion based on media attacks on Jack (for click bait) or do you actually know his lifestyle is the problem & if so what is he doing & where is he going? You have to know this in order to state it on here.

I know it which is why I've said it in the fashion I have. You can choose to believe me or not, but in the meantime ask yourself why he can't get on the pitch. Ortega has more minutes than him this season. Echeverri came on over him on Saturday. He's only started a handful of games in 2025. All of that isn't because Pep just fancies other players, there's a serious issue there. He's our third highest paid player and our record signing. Players in that position don't just get dropped.

Yeah I don't mind his comments either but if coming deep is by design then he has to be more progressive with the ball. It's useful if the centre half's are getting pressed because he's a spare man with space ahead of him that the pressing players have vacated. Then you can just launch it towards Haaland. Don't need him coming back to make a pass the centre half's should be making or coming back and then giving it back to the centre half's. The purpose of him coming back should be to bring an opposition player out with him to make space for someone else or to make the passes the defenders can't BUT most teams just drop back against City so it's a totally pointless exercise
yep Benardo playing as a quarter back doesn't work end of. But Pep persists and its going to start pissing people off if he keeps doing it!

Bernardo knows what is coming this summer and is obviously upset that he could potentially be told to find a new club. We are a very loyal club, but we're also ruthless (as evidenced by the release of KDB). The 'big bosses' are here to win and a season like this one will be deemed unacceptable and there will be radical changes made to the core of the squad. Also obviously a big fuck you to our record signing turned bloated training cone.
You a big fan of Grealish then?

Can’t believe how quickly some supporters on here are turning against Pep and the players less that 12 months after winning 4 titles on the bounce. Is this the new crop of supporters coming through.
Agree with your first sentence. The second one has no basis whatsoever. Most of the moaners I've heard this season have been the old boys.

What happens on the pitch is what matters in case you hadn't noticed. He's been mismanaged, played out of position, brought on too late as a sub on countless occasions. Pep is the problem but you are too busy happy clapping to notice.

Makes me chuckle how many people on this forum think that if you defend Guardiola you're a happy clapper. Other than that, as you will know, in any disagreement between a player and a manager the manager always wins. That's football.

Do you watch Haaland ? His movement is pathetic at times, he's often unavailable for a pass from midfield, so we end up crossing it from defenders, who in general can't cross. He missed a header over the bar yesterday, if his movement had been better, and he'd dropped off a couple of yards he would have been able to direct the header better, rather than be underneath it.

Haaland recently has been part of the problem, not all of it obviously, there are many parts to the problems and they start at the top.
I can't believe people have liked this

Different circumstances and trajectory - only a fool would have thought he wouldn't make a success of it here and everything had been geared up for him coming. I was optimistic a few games ago - not because of the results - but we had a bit of resolve and fight back - then he changed it too much - again! I don't NOT believe he can get it right again - but it will take a lot of self reflection and change on his part too.
Agreed….It could be argued Pep has tried to change too much, as you point out he’s flip flopped a fair bit, especially with team & squad selection. That suggests a number of issues and a shit tonne of mitigation, most of which we’ll never know. Me, I want the ruthless snarling Pep back, with a hungry squad of players who all believe in his methods, as Bernie stated, that’s down to the big bosses

Serious question - I don’t think Jack looks bloated. I actually think he looks very fit. What do you really think the problem is?
I feel for Jack. He comes across as hungry and motivated. Isn't getting a chance out at all but when he does come on, i've not seen any huff, and i've seen him contribute more than Foden. Both in individual games and over the season.

But it is clear Both have pissed Pep right off.

What do I think the problem is with Grealish? He's an unprofessional dickhead. Basically gave up after winning the treble and is now just enjoying his life as if he's on some 24/7 lads holiday. And he's is massively bloated mate. He looks about a decade older than he did two years ago.

That’s why’s I don’t understand the Gibbs White transfer. Banned from driving because of speeding. His insta is full of him and his girl at rappers parties , flashy cars etc. like Jack he’s got a good side to him with charity etc but the other side I don’t know why we would go for him.

Rubbish. Pep has chronically under utilised him.
I was a staunch supporter of Jack and his role in the team but he is a busted flush who like a lot of players that haven't won much suddenly found themselves with everything but lack the main characteristics of serial winners like Rodri.

Far too many don’t have that mentality and it has been laid bare this season.

Bloated players who need to go to teams that don’t require a win every 3 days.

We’ve had 50 shots & averaged 80% possession in the last 2 games. I feel the issue is further forward in creating better chances or players taking them. We’ve relied so much on individual brilliance when there is 10 behind the ball & that’s been lacking.

From what I've heard and what Nuno has said about him, he lives his life in the right way. It's very hard to stay injury free and play 3 times a week if you don't live your life in the right way.

There's always exceptions like Walker, but if you start getting the sort of injury issues Grealish has had in the last couple of years and you still live like a student, then you won't make it at City.

That's just not true. Which is why you see managers getting sacked, not left-backs.

An individual player, possibly. As soon as there is more than one, the manager is gubbed.

However, it is and should well be different, with Pep. While the results are there, but when that becomes a problem, the players will outlast him.

The old adage is it's cheaper to replace the manager than the team, but given I think we need to replace the team no matter what we might as well keep the manager.

Agree totally. Sad to see

Whenever I hear/see speculation on Gibbs White I remember his play acting to get Rodri sent off and think "Do we want someone like that in our team?".

He continues making baffling line ups. Let's start there. Let's not actually:)

he knows what's going on far better than anyone us aeotd - we just got to ride this unpleasant season out of the way and get some new players in to the jump on Peps wagon again
