We have the best form in the premier league. I don't get the negativity particularly on the prematch thread from last night's match. I think Fulham will be on the beach and we will get at least a point

Not sure our three performances before last night justify being called the form team. Like everybody else on here hope you're right but we shouldn't underestimate Marco Silva's side.

It's good to know you're happy to help me recall all the last day deliverances, a few of course are deeply etched but I think we've won less than half of our final fixtures in the PL.

You're correct with your maths (just) but I think you'll also find were unbeaten in 18 of the 27 final fixtures in premier league history which is all we'll need to be on Sunday.

Just for info we've lost 2 out of the 16 since the takeover, 1 of which was against Brentford the other year when we clearly had bigger fish to fry with 2 finals to come.

I'm not saying were nailed on not to get beat Sunday but if i was a gambling man using previous stats then id be heavily inclined to say we wont

Forget the OPTA prediction & bookies odds, they are meaningless. The worry is we get beat at Fulham - entirely possible btw - and the three of the four teams below us win - also entirely possible. Can't believe some folk on here are so naive, it's just as big a game as last night. Avoiding defeat on Sunday is gonna be a real tester without Kova.
We’ll piss it. And Chelsea are wank away and Forest are good at home.

We’ll get more than a point but we won’t need it.

Ha ha yes - it's a useful attribute I find, especially in matters of a domestic nature!

Meanwhile I want to know what is this "Chariman" role to which you refer and can anyone apply to do it?
Yes, a Chariman is a small time local businessman and egomaniac who makes a series of poor decisions but is unable to take any responsibility for them.

It's perfectly appropriate to focus on the single possible (and indeed catastrophic) outcome given some of the posts on this thread. True that nobody has said it's impossible but there are buckets on naivety sloshing about and I'm afraid you may have got wet ;-)
There’s a roughly 3% chance it all goes against us. It’s not likely as that 3% chance suggests but as I say, if you think it’s more likely than that then take advantage of the bookies.

On the contrary, I think I'm being entirely realistic. My task on this thread is as a mop to deal with the puddles of naive optimism and lack of understanding of just how difficult the task on Sunday may turn out. You and the bookies may think us getting beaten is highly unlikely but those like me who have followed City over the decades have a rather different outlook.
Why? What do you achieve mopping up the optimism? Seems a bit weird.

I’ve a feeling we will go through all the emotions on the last day which will be typical City, unless of course we our 3 nil up by halftime

We did what was expected tonight but it doesn’t even come close to making up for the Soton debacle. We don’t deserve top 5 after that awful display even if we win all our remaining games which we won’t because everyone has cottoned on to how to beat us
You could also say Arsenal dont deserve top 5 after losing at home to the Bournemouth side we swept away. Season is not defined by 1 result to state the obvious
