Khaldoon's End of Season Review 2025

Well said - definitely had good value over the last 10 years. No way I want to go back to the Maine Road days. I enjoy our global appeal & the enthusiasm of so called “tourists”
I see what you did there. Not everyone will get the sarcasm. FFS with fans like you the club is doomed.

Well you are a clever chappie because even I don’t know “what I did there”.
Unlike you, I wasn’t trying to be a clever dick. I was just saying what I felt in a genuine way

Sorry it upset you so much

The only reason Khaldoon hired Soriano was to get Guardiola.

And Khaldoon is there to make Mansour's investment more valuable. It's not just about profitability.

But yes, it would be interesting to know what actually happened with the ESL mess. Couldn't have been an easy decision made under time pressure.
Soriano and the board had always planned for something like the ESL. Whether that's because we genuinely wanted it, or it was a defensive measure, I couldn't say. The mistake the parties behind it made was to offer us second-class membership. It was a major strategic. and tactical blunder to have signed up under those circumstances but had we been offered an equal partnership, we'd have willingly joined up and it probably would have got off the ground.

Was there talk of some rival to the CL (maybe the FIFA CWC, sponsored by Mansour-friendly companies) if UEFA became unmanageable with the club about the CL? Or did I dream that? :)

I want Khaldoon to be honest - he comes and on and speaks thus.... "its been shit; the board have done a shit job, recruitment has been a shambles, the manager has underperformed and besides Gvardiol and O'Reilly the entire playing staff has to. Weve treated the fans badly too and need to accept that.

It isnt good enough, it isnt acceptable and we will be looking for significant improvement in all facets next season. And as an aside Masters and his cronies can fuck off too."

End of Statement - done in 2 mins.

Will never happen of course but I can dream. I dont want to hear how positive the kids teams are, how well the Womens Building and the North Stand Tier 2 are coming along - weve just pissed away 2 Cup finals and Id like to see some timber swung about the entire club.

I don’t want heads on poles but there needs to be a serious review of how we aloud a once brilliant squad to decline so rapidly and failed to sign the requisite players to appropriately oversee a decent succession plan.
I don't disagree. But I also can't think of a single club that has managed such a succession or gradual change. And arguably very few if any have hit the specific heights we have.

You're relatively new to this football supporting malarkey, aren't you?

Winning trophies every year isn't normal. It's exceptional.

Just saying.

Think it will be weird seing an interview without the glint of silverware but think it should be along these lines.Txiki is a cnut who spent his last year buying jumpers in Debenhams and Viana is off to the swamp with agent Omar.

Winning every year is exceptional. Falling off an absolute cliff after multiple windows of poor transfers and a season of mismanagement on the pitch is, but in the opposite manner. Glossing over it and saying "we go again next season" isn't the jolt that's required if we're to have a proper course correction. If it's all talk and no action, then it's a very slippery slope that leads to some very shaky ground like United and Chelsea a couple seasons ago.

Falling off a cliff? Season of mismanagement on the pitch?

Hyperbole much.

We're still fighting for third through fifth when we could've had third locked up weeks ago. Most individual player levels have dropped or been completely neutralized due to injury and Pep has also admitted to making mistakes this season. So it's not quite hyperbole when it's straight from the horse's mouth.

Not looking for an argument, it's your perspective - I get that.

Can't wait to listen to how our club in India has improved this season.

On a serious note, I hope he delay the interview until we finish the club world cup competition so he can maybe have more interesting things to speak about specially about hopefully world class new additions.

not watched one since the 3rd, unless addressing serious fans concerns like ticketing, pricing, touting sites and transport then 40 minutes or blowing smoke up Pep and Kevs arse (as fuck all else to talk about football wise this season) doesn't interest me

It will be next season this year won't it?

He will tell us as he is similar to JG in an "important" way. They both hate losing. They will use their anger as an energy to rise next year from this rotten season. Your time has come your second skin, cost so high the gain so low, walk through the valley, the written word is a lie.

Oh and Disneyland Abu Dhabi will have an MCFC themed ride based on the history of MCFC.

That's a bitter " PIL " to swallow.
