Still recovering from injury and don't forget he has a newborn at home for the first time, that's always overlooked.

Good goal return for somebody who has had the bare minimum supply.

Personally I'd give him the cwc off if he wants it. Rest up and give pep some time to find a way of actually having the team supply the world's most lethal striker.
 
Give him the summer off, club world cup included the man still looks mentally and physically drained

He's 24, he is suffering a bit but is still the Premier striker in world football

Needs to sort out whatever mental block he's going through and hopefully with a full summer rest he can step up not just on the pitch but as a true leader he can be
 
Am I the only one worried about him ?
He was literally perfect in his first season did everything right. Best season I’ve ever seen from a new signing, the definition of hitting the ground running. Finishing, movement, personality, energy etc everything was 10/10

2nd season he was extremely bad infront of goal. He topped the charts of most big chances missed in the league. 34. I think he had some serious injuries but his movement was really good. It also bad because he’d avg 2 missed chances a game minimum and the whole team was creating for him. Way more than the first season. ESP Foden who should’ve had atleast 15 assists last season.

3rd season this season. Today’s game is a classical 2025 Haaland game. I don’t know about you guys. But he looks tired. Doesn’t know where to make runs, doesn’t have chemistry with many players Savio a few times off the left but that was months ago. I always worried that him only connecting to KDB wasn’t good cuz look he’s gone now. I’m not asking him to be Kane. Just want him to do his job score goals and if he can’t, affect the game in some way. It’s been 3 seasons. He’s a goal machine yes. But I still want more from him.

Hopefully the rebuild is around HIM and getting the best out of HIM. Players that pass forward. A faster more direct side.

- still not showing up in big games
- missing pens
- giving up pens
- missing countless sitters
- He's lacking fight, urgency and most crucially his movement has been fucking wank.

He's never struck me as a confidence player so think it's just lack of form coupled with a system that doesn't suit. Hopefully big changes are coming and they are ones that pair well with his best self. Create space and rip balls across the box.

It's not his fault no one can give him service and he was injured for a decent bit of the season.

What we do know is without his goals we would be in a worse place.

I don't think he'll miss it but i can't see how city would give a shit about that. We'll be collecting the money whether we send the EDS or the first team. Madrid have got the poster boys covered anyway.
 
Front 5 need to start building more understanding of each others’ games, strengths, and weaknesses. They also need to can the throwing hands up in the air when players don’t pass.
 
So today confirms he hasn't been officially removed as our designated penalty taker , which means he was just a massive shit house in the cup final, anyone else did that and Pep would be publicly going ballistic. Fucking coward.
