The Smiths & Morrissey thread

Christ that setlist tonight looks a bit of a slog in the middle.

Speedway, Hand in Glove and I know it’s over all dropped too!

Hope they are back on Saturday.

Istanbul in though which I do like! :-)

Came on early as no support despite one previously advertised.
He was pretty chatty and self deprecating. Said he happy to be Up The Gorbals and claimed to have watched Take the high road the previous night rather than Iggy at same venue.
His voice was brilliant and band pretty tight.
I probably had the best view ever ....front row of lower balcony.
Set didn't really drag for me maybe due to everything else being nigh on perfect.
Glad Manchester sold out eventually.
And would recommend the support band ( i listened to them thinking they were on the Glasgow bill)

Thanks for that, strange the support not being there!

Workmate was at the gig and he said that it was great.
There is a decent film of the gig on YouTube. He sounded great.

Enjoy the night for those of you seeing the greatest living Mancunian tonight
My eldest is going and he's not even a mad fan of morrissey.
Hes heard me playing smiths songs and his solo stuff but looking at the setlist he's been doing for these shows my lad will know maybe 4 or 5 of the songs.
Are you going mate?

No. I travelled to Tampa for that gig 2 weeks ago and of course he bailed out, it’s rescheduled for January!
And this week he announced more US dates for September so I’ll be going to Boston!

Tell me More, tell me more……
23000 sell out. Not seen that many at Moz since 2004.

He was just in great form. The co op live is a great venue for sound and getting near the stage and the screens.

I know it’s over was just sublime.

I’ve been to maybe 25 or so gigs. That was in the top 5 for me. Loved it.
