I get what you're saying and mostly agree but we're not the City of old playing plodder and rookies hoping to get things right to avoid relegation. We're a world class team full of fit and focused players who aspire to keep on winning silverware.Ok let’s just cast aside all injuries and any other struggles..I presume if haaland has a poor season next year, he’s also on the chopping block?
I think you’re being incredibly harsh. As I said he’s had one average season/ pretty much the entire team did as well.
I don’t get your comparison with stones and grealish. Stones has been consistently injured and grealish whilst being out of form, had apparently had personal issues - that’s over seasons, not one.
If we’re giving up on a player of the season after one average season (with injuries included) that smacks of short term thinking and an inability to bring players back into form.
Foden is world class, have a bit of faith in him mate
Haaland is world class but if his form turns to shit when he's not scoring and linking up to midfield do you think he'll still be a regular starter. I don't hence why Grealish started getting benched season after treble win. No player is not for sale in the squad. If the price is right and a player wants out a move Is usually granted.
Last season was a one off and maybe I was a bit harsh on Foden but he plays to be a winner, not an also ran. Several players are bring sold due to age injuries or loss of longterm form. We are rebuilding and evolving to try and regain titles we've won. That's the sign of an ambitious club with a ambitious manager.
