I’m not sure why people think they are going to run into trouble..spending freely on Cunha,Mbeumo and possibly Gyokeres. Nothing will ever be allowed to effect them.

This a blind eye will be turned to their finances yet again and any trouble regarding PSR or FFP will just be brushed under the carpet..
Yep, as I've said previously, apparently the main reason Qatar pulled out was because despite engaging the services of the very best forensic accountants and auditors to scrutinise united's books for 6 months throughout the due diligence period they simply couldn't gain a clear picture of the true state of united's finances and debt levels.

And yet the PL are quite happy to take at face value any figures that united briefly wave under their noses when it comes to FFP/PSR compliance.

I think it’s obvious we’ve won our PSR case and it is no more. Teams have gone from not daring to spend a penny, to splashing the cash all over the place. Either that or they are about to completely change the rules again to aid united. Something is certainly happening that we don’t know about yet

What makes me smile is the thought of the rags going bust.
What makes me laugh out loud is the thought that it wouldn't financially hurt the Glazers one bit as the club, not them, are responsible for the debt.
What makes me laugh out loud and roll on the floor laughing so much that I piss my pants, is the thought that just before they went belly up they rinsed a scruffy Chelsea season ticket holder for a shed load of money.

It may never happen but if a boy can't dream ..............

Because the PL was set up for the benefit of five clubs thirty-three years ago.

United must be bricking it at all this litigation as its terrible for them, one thing lawyers will always try and find is comparable cases and outcomes and how they were handled and all the litigation against city could end up being their undoing by exposing the pls shady deals with them and bringing into the harsh light how differently they and the dippers are treated then everyone else and while it is something we absolutely know and are derided by the press for being paranoid there is a huge difference between it being something we know and it being documented by lawyers.

The one thing I have been saying for so long now is that the rags are suffering because the playing field is now more or less level - in comparison to how it was.
At the start of the Prem no one had the money to compete with their extravagant transfer dealings. No other club could say: 'Sign him. Whatever it costs. If another club is prepared to pay XXX amount for him, we'll triple it.' On top of this officials were loathe to upset the Pisscan because he would ban them from refereeing any games featuring the rags. It got so ridiculous it was the Govan dictator himself who decided when full time was, FFS!

Things are a lot more even now: us, the dippers, Arsenal and Chelsea etc, can all stand shoulder to shoulder with the playground bullies and give them a bloody nose. It is this that has rattled their cages and it is this why they want to push the responsibility onto the Glazers, or Worzel, or anyone else for that matter.
The footballing landscape has changed over the past 30/40 years, and simply signing cheques just doesn't cut it anymore.

Agree with this. Furthermore, if the top clubs stood still there'd still be a huge chasm for them just to catch up. No one is standing still though and it's going to take massive blend of insight, application, spending, luck and more than likely a helping hand from the powers that be to get them anywhere near challenging again.

Thats not enough to get you a season ticket concession, you actually have to be over 65.

I've been saying this since 2013.

Some people are getting bored of hearing it however, it's worth repeating:

I predicted when the pisscan bailed out that it would be twelve years before the rags won the premier league.

At the time of making my prediction my assessment was very conservative. I actually tried to place a bet on it, but the bookies said I couldn't bet on a negative.
I just assumed he was a rag fan.

Anyway, I've updated my assessment: "the rags will never win the Premier league again"

There was a very different story circulating at the time. One being that the Qatar bid was pie in the sky. Sheikh Jizzum wasn't even a real person, and when they were asked for proof of finances, they went very quiet, meanwhile putting out press releases about having gazzillions to throw at the project.

Scruffy Jim even joked in his first interview that the Qatar bid didn't even exist.
