How the fuck could he or anyone else be any worse than Kalvin Philips? Philips is useless, he'll always be useless and contrary to what the happy clappers kept insisting we won't be "easily getting our money back" We'll be getting sweet fuck all back .

Hmmmm,! Had to think about this. Mangala had a fantastic 1st game.

I personally never liked the Mangala acquisition. This was back in the era when I had been clamouring for ball playing Center backs ( i.e. the Anti-Lescott). Mangala at best was going to be a supercharged Lescott.

Anyway, regardless of my philosophy at the time, Mangala did start out very well. Unfortunately, Kalcin just never got going :(

Mangala gave me palpitations but Philipps just baffles me.

Mangala managed at least to be good enough to get in the team and show how bad he was. Phillips could barely manage to do that, but the glimpses we got showed he was crap.

Yes Mangala was very disappointing overall but he actually had a few decent games for us in the last knockings of Pellegrini's tenure and was part of the side ehich reached a CL semi. Started both legs of the PSG tie IIRC. He even played a few games in the Centurions season including a few minutes at the end of the Ole Derby at the swamp. I doubt Pep would ever have trusted KP in that way. Mangala played about 80 games for us in the end which is lot more than KP. Mendy and KP are the two worst signings we've made £ for £ since the takeover IMO.
