Dias has been the weak link in defence for a long time. His passing is slow and erratic. Yes please do

Haaland is not a good fit for our team. It is great watching us play without him. We meed another type of striker. Or we need to change tactics completely.

GK: replace if they want to leave

Defense we should keep ake, gvardiol, khush, reis, nunes, akanjii, lewis

Midfield we should keep gundo, nicox2, godri

Attackers Doku, savinho, McAtee, foden and Omar

We will keep of course keep dias and erling. We will sell McAtee but this what we should do to get back to old pass and move quicklt city.
So we sell Dias and keep Ake (always injured), Akanji (playing like the player we thought we were signing) and Lewis (arguably our worst "defender" this year after Walker)

Ok

Pretty much world-class in every area until it comes to goals and ends products.

Yeah who needs a winger who scores goals and has an end product. He’s nowhere near good enough for city. Has lots of fan boys on here but I’ve seen him close up in every game he’s played this season and he’s poor.

Yup, forwards who don't score goals are just a luxury we can't afford. It's like saying when you buy a goalkeeper , his distribution is good and he commands his penalty area he just doesn't save shots very well.

Interesting. We didn’t have a top shot stopper for the last years though. Anyways I wanna see the goalscoring wingers who are available and city lvl? Mbuemo maybe? Don’t see the club going for him.

I suspect next season we see a very different Man City, and a different Savinho.

Looking at PSG's Doue (who is only about a year younger than Savinho), gives me the idea of what I think Savinho should be adapting towards if we play with inside forwards and wide fullbacks (I hope we do).

Doue started RW for PSG, but with Hakimi wide right, had freedom to be anywhere he needed to be, infact he assisted Hakimi in the opening goal by playing in the left half space that a LW might typically be, such is the flexibility of PSGs system of attackers rotating.

We have had debates about Savinho LW or RW? (with most favouring him LW), but what if we was allowed to just be wherever he needs to be? Cross from the left, drift from the right, same with Doku btw.

I think it will be a learning curve for both wingers, but I think both them, and City will benefit greatly if we let them grow into this more flexibile role.

We’ll see

Said in Transfer Forum that at same age Mahrez was in Ligue 2 in France and Salah was in Switzerland with Basel, neither hitting big numbers.

The idea of pushing him out is nuts, he is going to be a great player.
Not to mention someone who at his age was extremely talented but incredibly unproductive, lazy, lacked concentration and competitiveness has matured to the point that at 28 he should win the Ballon D'or.

Savinho is so far ahead of his curve he's being judged as if he's 25. We're not getting Doue, Yamal or Guler so he's not going to be improved upon for his age.

Got to say our wingers are very erratic and for us to have any chance of winning the title back they need to really up there game .

I appreciate the entire team is well below par, but this lad seems completely out of his depth at the moment. Started pretty well when he first arrived. However, it's been a fairly steady decline since. Just offers next to nothing, his shooting and decision making when to shoot, are both hopeless.

That brief period on the left when he provided Haaland was a few goals was as good as it got. He looked decent there.

We can't afford to have him and Doku on the pitch from the start. I've thought this for a while.
My issue is I'm not sure where he will fit into the new squad. I can see Cherki and Oscar Bobb being preferred on the right, so his game time will be very limited.

To be honest I'm not sure whether we made the right decision to bring him over from Girona. He looks like the sort of player that needs a couple of seasons to develop his physicality and his game management, and I'm not sure given our current situation that we can afford a project player for that period of time.

I agree - there is no doubt he is talented and has lots of potential but too many times last season he would do something brilliant followed by losing the ball cheaply then not even bother to try and get back to help his defence. That is something that needs fixing added to a very poor shots to goal ratio.

Like you if we sign those we are linked with where will he fit in? I'm actually surprised there hasn't been noise about him being used as a trade chip.

Big season for him next season. I don’t think it was a bad idea to bring him in last season. If his finishing had have even been average he’d have scored plenty of goals. The talent is clearly there and he’d scored a decent amount for Girona. The club must see the talent so aren’t interested in trading him in.

The thing is Cherki might play in the middle and Bobb has played a handful of games in his career. Don’t get me wrong i think Bobb’s potential is ridiculous but after a full year out who knows! Suppose if Foden learns to run again right side would probably be his position but again it’s a big if.

Whilst he needs to work on his physicality and end product, he still produced decent numbers in his first season and will be helped by a more physical midfield behind him. We were obsessed with not losing the ball, because with the lack of energy in midfield it was a disaster. With more energy around him, pressing and winning the ball back high up the pitch he'll be able to take more risks without that fear of losing the ball and should naturally improve as a result.

Amazing. I can’t.

Overlapping fullbacks would help him too. Hell even Bernardo and Grealish on the wings would be more effective with natural fullbacks supporting them.

Think this kid could really be a good player for us if he gets his finishing act together.

His overall stats at us and in the past at Girona are up there with some world class talents.

I think he, Doku and Bobb are grossly underrated. I hope they can reach their full potential with us.

I don't think they're underrated at this current moment but agree they all have huge ceilings and potential for all 3 to be world cclassif they keep working hard

People on here saying he is poor are quick to judge and must have a short memory, he was really good when he first arrived then unfortunately suffered an injury not long after, he is only 21 give the lad a chance ffs.

Some of these threads are shocking
