Season ticket holders non attenders numbers

I fucked my 2 off after 38 consecutive years and a fair few before that on and off in military service and as a kid. I no longer live in Manchester. The tickets were always used when I couldn't go but I'm done with this nonsense. I know for a fact they haven't sold them as season tickets again so they'll no doubt go to our overseas visitors with a cheap meal in town dressed up as a corporate package. All they care about is money. City will always be my team but this isn't my club. They can play to an empty stadium for all I care.
How do you know they weren't reissued as ST's? If you're going off the actual seat you used to have then that means nothing, new ST holders can pick their seats anywhere that's open.

We love in Ireland and have 2 season tickets.
We can't make Midweek games, or Friday matches. And with Sky increasing the number of matches (friday and sunday nights) we've no chance of getting to 10 games.
It was difficult supporting them in the 90s for different reasons, and the reason the was bought was us.
Surely the news about matchday tickets being priced lower would suit yourself then? Admittedly there's no guarantee that you'll even get a ticket but the world isn't perfect I'm afraid.
I didn't see any of the current management team at York or Lincoln.
That's just drivel.

Mates have tried to transfer to them twice including in person at the ticket office. Told they aren't being re-sold as S/T's. Same thing happened with the 2 next to me a few years ago. That's how i know. You're welcome.

The current management team don't wish to purchase a season ticket.
However, I'm sure there are plenty of city fans who did go to games against York or Lincoln who now can't get a season ticket and would use it for every game.

Exactly.

People having a go at other fans need to shut their nosy cake holes and focus on the reasons some people miss games - the broadcasters changing kick off times at the last minute with zero regard for fans, the clubs being in cahoots with them and the third world transport infrastructure in this country.

But no, some busybody folk on here demand to know the exact movements of Dave from three seats over who only made it to 10 games last season.

This thread is just like the season ticket thread, full to the brim of curtain twitching nosy cunts who can’t see the wood for the trees.

So you're saying that those particular seats aren't being sold as ST's, that doesn't mean that 2 other seats didn't replace them. So you don't "know".

Fucking annoying. Maybe they work in the ticket office.

Yes ‘purely’ distance and all the reasons associated to that. Weather, kickoff times etc etc.
In that case I'd try a phone call rather than an email, it's harder to say 'no' to someone on the phone than it is via an email. I'd have a list of points on paper before calling them to make sure that you don't miss something important. Slight exaggeration wouldn't do you any harm either as they're not going to question what you say.

Try reading my reply again. It 'should' help you but then again you are clearly an opinionated know it all and obviously think you know better so it probably won't. You're welcome.

Nail on the head.

I find it weird that people buy season tickets and don’t attend. OK, sometimes things get in the way, but, seriously, people who buy a season ticket and can’t make it for half the home games don’t deserve it, except for illness or other unforeseen circumstances. On this issue I tend to sympathise with the Club. Those who buy a seat and don’t use it deprive others who would love to see the game.

If you cannot understand the reasoning you are either blind to what is happening with the club and its ticket policy or you (understandably) don’t make the journey yourself.

As for deserving it some of those people, who won’t make half the games, have probably been season ticket holders for donkeys years. Rather see them at 6/8/10 matches than somebody with little affiliation to the club, which seems to be the direction of travel due to the previous cost of individual ticket prices.

I'll wait a few months and see how things develop. I still think this whole policy will crash and burn.

From what I’ve read, I don’t think Sky are moving any more matches away from Saturday than in previous seasons.

They’re just showing more of the games that are already moved for other reasons. Europa mainly.

Personally I hope the numbers are genuine as I want one and can’t get one. If they’re cracking down on touts then that’s a good thing. As I’ve said before I gave up my son’s ST nine years ago when he went to university as he didn’t want to commit to the ever changing game times etc. with his commute. That seat has been empty for 90% of the matches ever since but it’s rarely available for sale. I don’t know if it’s available as an ST because I have never had the opportunity to look. So something screwy is happening with it. It was even free in the derby game this year in fact it might have been every game this season it was free.

So cracking down on others preventing me getting an ST is fine by me.
Despite your son and 100's (100's?) giving up their season ticket City haven't made available a single season ticket for 5 years, I doubt cracking down on abusers will change that-City clearly want to reduce season ticket numbers.
We sit in 202 (padded seats), couple of people next to us gave up their season tickets a few years ago. They rarely sell but when they do people turn up with a barcoded ticket on a piece of paper, clearly City have put them on sale with one of their 5 official resale partners!
