Leroy Sané

When he was on it he was fantastic to watch. But it didn't happen consistently enough. He's taken on a sort of mythical status with a lot of fans because of how good he was on his day. I remember at the time it was often a comparison to Sterling with the belief Sane would be the better player. But 100 goals in 355 games for City and Bayern for Sane vs 131 in 339 at City for Sterling suggests otherwise.
As much as I loved Leroy, it was no coincidence that Pep dropped him more often than he did Raheem.

On his day, he was dynamite, but those days were too few and far between.

Having said that, there was no better sight for me than watching Merlin slide a pass between the right centre-back and the right-back for Leroy to sprint on to, which often led to a goal.

That was a wonderfully entertaining side.

Thanks. I wasn't questioning/doubting you, even if that might be the way it came across. I honestly hadn't seen anything linking him with Arsenal. Guess I need to speak to my parole officer about getting out more.

;-)
Would that be good for the rest of us?

;-)

From what i remember he lost a bit of form form after that dipper goal.A sub in the last weeks.
Got injured in the charity shield game and that was that.

Be interested to see how many times he completed a full game
I was a great fan don’t get me wrong but I remember him as being brilliant in first 30 mins or so then fading or even disappearing from a game
https://www.premierleague.com/players/5384/Leroy-Sané/stats 28 assists on top of that, though another site below says 30 PL only

So, according to that stat, he averaged 68 minutes a game over his PL career, is that bad for a winger?

Also, wingers are notorious for being in and out even during the same game, it is the moments of magic that they deliver that makes them special; they can't dribble past everybody all game lol

Absolutely loved him when he played for us and would've taken him back in a heartbeat a few years ago but I think that ship has sailed now. Difficult to believe that he'll be 30 in January. I'm sure he'll do a good job somewhere but I can't see it being with us.

100% agree with this.
