PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

there was no question we wouldnt be included in this years fixtures, the deadline has come and gone for any punishment which would have seen us not included for 25/26, 'IF' we were to get a points deduction it would apply 26/27 and if that deadline is crossed it will be 27/28 and so on, the fact we are in this seasons fixtures are not a soft signal of any kind and do not indicate we have won or lost the case
Was talking about this with the mrs last night.
She came out with something like

‘So, if you get a 100 points deduction you have to play a full season knowing you’re going down’

I could have divorced her there and then.

What’s the end game here if/when found innocent (or can’t prove we are guilty as it will be spun)

Mass resignations surely expected. Is it likely that we get someone at the seat of the table off the back of this? The premier league could do a hell of a lot worse than Khaldoon having some involvement
He's busy signing off trillion dollar business deals. He wouldn't get involved in such an amateurish organisation

But the red cartel and their media told us we were being fucked off to the vanarama

I'll leave that to others. The first I will get to hear something is being announced will be about an hour beforehand, if the previous CAS verdict was briefed to the staff in CFG, is anything to go by.

I have a lot of contacts at United and this is simply a very reliable steer what Berrada is telling his own club in recent days.

I hope you washed with bleach after speaking to them

Liability feels imminent but either 1) because of the time it takes to arrange a sanction hearing and then get a result or 2) because the sanction is stayed pending a liability appeal, we may not get a first sanction decision this side of 2026
Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up.

If what Tolmie has heard is true, I can't see why there would be "civil war". Surely, the whole point of the exercise has been to establish the truth and see that "justice" is done. If we are cleared, our rivals will surely be overjoyed that any fears they may have had would have proved unfounded. Nev and Carra would be raising a toast to the process and celebrating with a commemorative episode of the Overlap celebrating the greatest teams and manager English football has ever seen.
I want to live in this reality NN

But there must have been a point where assuming we did not appeal the punishment could have taken affect next season or end of last Season I.e relegated last season playing championship next year. That is now not going to happen. We can argue when that point was how long before the fixture list. How likely due to how likely we did anything wrong. How likely due to how hard to prove we did if we did. How likely we are not to appeal such a punishment how long that could in a different universe take. But the fact is it’s now not possible because of the fixtures

As far as I can see , getting relegated , or ‘massive’ points reduction was never goin to happen. It was something mentioned by the followers of the red cartel and eagerly persued and jumped upon by a complicit media looking for sensationalist headlines. That’s all. It was never ever goin to happen in reality. Companies don’t get hit with world shattering sanctions for creative accounting. Although i know fuck all about anything, so who knows???!!!!

We have known for some time that we wouldn't be relegated for the coming season. It wasn't possible from the end of April when the cutoff point for any points deductions to be applied passed. Even if liability had been decided by then it would have taken several more months for the sanction hearing to be arranged and any points deduction could only ever have taken effect for the coming season at the earliest.

The fact we haven't heard anything yet and the fixtures for next season have been released is not an indicator either way of the outcome to this case.

It’s getting to the point now where the delay is denying justice. You just cannot delay at a whim. @Prestwich_Blue has said the decision has been artificially delayed probably so the PL can get their ducks in a row. If he is right, it is a denial of justice.

Media stop press.
We havn't a clue as to the verdict, so will make the Red shirt and London club fans feel better about themselves with musings from a 90's football leg-end who is equally clueless about the verdict.

hadn't really viewed it like that. if its just creative accounting then a fine makes more sense.

comparing us to the likes of juventus who paid referees etc (i think) is apples and oranges

I am intrigued by Tolmie's post outlining Berrada's assessment given to executives at OT, in particular his call to prepare for "civil war". He does appear to think this will result from City's exoneration by the IC. This does not seem hard to believe. I am minded of a story a little while ago that a PL chairman speaking, he claimed, for many others said that he, and they, were not interested at all in the 115 hearing, because they had no chance of finishing in the top four, and the outcome of the hearing and charges was only of interest to a small number of clubs (which are ...?). Now, if this small number of clubs react to the verdict by trying to clear off to some money spinning "super" league (with the rags and Spurs!!!) after having cost everyone else millions in legal costs (and interest on owner loans which they were promised would be interest free) civil war may well be a fitting description of the outcome with wich Mr Masters (?!) would have to deal.

They can still have interest free loans from their owners, it's just that interest is added to their PSR calculations. They don't physically have to pay the interest

Pretty sure they have to convert them to interest bearing loans or repay them, even under the PL's new APT rules. Doesn't mean they have to pay the interest, of course. The interest could be added to the capital.
