Ricos reaction right after the contact is one of someone who was guilty.

He knew he did something wrong so reacted the way he did. With the faking he was hurt.
Correct. Injury soon disappeared when the red came out didn't it? lol

I liked our corners.
One thing I have noticed in the games so far with these lower level teams is that they do not have the slightest clue how to defend set pieces. The defending teams do not attack the ball, and literally sit there waiting for the impending. I wouldn't read to much into our ability on corners :)

Said it would be 2-0 and I was hopeful for a set piece goal, especially from a corner.

Apart from that another borefest.

Wins a win. Nothing has changed from last season yet though.. play was exactly the same(meant to be more direct?) and we still have a soft underbelly.
You do know that we’re using this to bed new players, and trying new tactics?

Strange response, especially for what was a game that we played as a friendly.

Overall the performance was average at best, first half was clearly better. Then we slowly got worse with the ponderous play we see most of the season.

However it shouldn’t be judged or put under a microscope. To early.
Or we could just judge situations by the facts. Looking guilty (whatever that means) isn't a red card offence.

He looked guilty, because his reaction to fake he was hurt. You see it many times when a player makes a bad challenge. For me, that decision to make out he was hurt tells me he knew he had done wrong.

You see it all the time.

So Mikel might have a point.

Rico’s red card is a joke from a weak ref.

He goes in along the ground, clears the ball, but sees the LATE CHALLENGE coming from the other player.

As he turns to avoid the brunt of the challenge, the opposition player gives it to Rico up the arse and back of the leg, WHICH RAISES HIS LEG onto the player.

There is ZERO INTENTIONAL FOUL PLAY and if the player hadn’t gone for a 60-40 ball for which he was never going to get there, there would have been no contact.

The contact that did happen was both unintentional and coincidental.

In my time, I’ve been done and I’ve done a few guys. That was nothing of the sort!

I see our Tourist Fan Friends on Instagram are all having Meltdowns over the Performance
They can't understand it's June not August

If Rico Lewis is our starting RB we ain’t winning anything the PL this season. I said it at the start of this season, IMO, by far the worst player to play over 50 games for us since the takeover. would look average at RB even in the Championship. Imagine being a top left winger knowing you’re playing against Rico? Horrible player.
The ignore list is getting a battering tonight. If nothing else, this tournament is great preparation for the season ahead.

Looking guilty is not a red card offence. If you want to invent a new rule to say it is that's up to you.
