If a player is deemed to be off for a red card it is checked by VAR which actually happened. Therefore Lewis was awaiting confirmation from VAR (which happens all the time but obviously you`re not aware as I stated) before the player officially is sent off.
Quite straightforward but you are ignorant of said ruling.

My playing days ended well before VAR came along. While I'm not ignorant of the rule, I suppose being an FOC I remember the days when you saw red....you were off.
I'd still like the tour though. 8>)

Likewise ref FOC, yes if you saw red it was "take a walk to the shower son" but with VAR being present nowadays its a different ball park. ;)
