I wasn’t serious. Maybe I should’ve made it more obvious. Wirtz is the biggest thing at his position. The words here were different when he was „ about to sign „ for us now he isn’t anything special. I guess all the scouts and teams are wrong but some random bluemoon forum members are telling the truth.

Good player who is already the best player of his league since he’s been 20

Stones being a 'right back' but essentially another midfielder is what changed our form that season. That, and Cancelo fucking off.

Walker played here and there but was nowhere near vital to the treble winning side. IMO anyway. Aside from Madrid away from memory.

He is the nearest thing at the moment to what Kev was back then. Players of the past don’t play against players of the day, it’s all relative and him going to our rivals rather than us is a disaster. Now, maybe the brilliance of our recruitment team and Pep’s tactical mastery will mitigate for that, but city fans dissing Wirtz reminds me of scousers saying Nunez is better than Haaland.

I like Wirtz and think Dippers have a class player

I also think we have done fantastic bringing in Cherki,Ait nouri and best of all Reijnders for the same price

When we got into the last third of that season Stones started stepping into midfield from centre back rather than right back I seem to remember. Akanji played RB when walker didn’t.

Whenever we are linked with players from other clubs, and I happen to have friends that support those clubs, I damn well discuss those players with my friends.

Because a, that's what friends do, discuss football. And b, I don't watch every player of every other club and they will no doubt know more about their players than me.

And pretty much every friend I have that watches football has seen us play and can know what Pep is all about and what makes a 'Pep' player. And would have no issue using that as a compliment on one of their club's players.

If you don't have friends like that, that's a shame mate.

Yeah, he's not worth that sort of money to anyone but us. There's also the possibility that Newcastle would sell if they still have plenty of overseas slots available in their squad. We need Livramento because he's homegrown. But if they can get 80 million for him and spend 50 million on an overseas fullback that's actually better (which we can't do), then they might go for that. And upgrade and 30 million in the bank is not to be sniffed at.
