Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

As the major country in the middle east both in terms of history and population that hasn't invaded anywhere but is heavily involved in armed political activity in the surrounding countries which they absolutely have a right to do, given there is a nuclear armed Western colony in their midst.

What the fuck is “armed political activity”? There is some mind gymnastics going on here.

Total nonsense.
It isn't really is it.

For the record:A war of aggression against Iran, in violation of the UN Charter and basic tenets of international law, and in the absence of any imminent threat or concrete evidence from international inspection bodies and intelligence agencies of the existence of an Iranian military nuclear program… A war that is being waged by two nuclear weapon states (one of which is outside the nuclear arms control regime #NPT) possessing thousands of nuclear weapons...A war that clearly brings to mind the catastrophic war on #Iraq, a war based on deception and in violation of all international inspection reports stating the absence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq … A war that is taking place against the backdrop of a total paralysis of the Security Council and obscene double standards by those who trumpet a rule based system…A war that will add a huge blow to the international order, international law and institutions including the Nuclear Nonproliferation Regime …A war that will likely have devastating effects on the peace and stability of region and its people… Lasting peace can only be achieved through justice, mutual security and dialogue.

Basically you disagree with his assessment that there is no concrete evidence of a nuclear program that suggests an imminent threat.

There is literal documented evidence that Iran has sought to acquire nuclear weapons and the IAEA itself has documented their enrichment goals closing on weapons grade enriched uranium.
Yet your "literal documented evidence" is just a different assessment of the same reports ... from some institution that has been around since the early 90's to find credible strategies to global security issues. Either they are less influential than they claim or they are just another institution whose primary focus is to manufacture consent for US imperial adventures. My guess is the latter.

It has worked regularly in the U.S. and abroad to unite government officials, independent experts, scientists, and the public in efforts to find credible strategies to solve U.S., regional, and global security problems.

It’s all fucking awful.

Killing innocent people is a failure of multiple governments. A human failure to keep dialogue open.

Instead we are left with war after war, killing after killing with everyone picking sides. Sheer madness.

WW1 & WW2 has gone and went and we have learned fuck all from it.
Yep, and it's a handful of people ( Putin, Netanyahu, Trump et al) that cause death and suffering for millions.

They could certainly learn a thing or two from this thread in terms of impartiality, real world, credible views and above all a lack of hatred for particular races and countries.

No one ever gets shrill and shouty on here either.
Lol. Unlike you I'm impartial to a bit of minor vandalism. Also unlike you I'm not impartial to the sight of dismembered kids every day for over 600 days.

Chefs kiss is dressing up your imperial mindset as "anti-racist".

Fucking disgusting. Not in our name should be shouted from the rooftops.

Failure after failure to do the right thing for people in war torn countries. The very least we could do is not pick sides and argue constantly about which prick is worse than another one. They are all wankers.

No one cares anymore. Collectively we have all failed.

That assessment is based upon an IAEA report where the same findings are literally documented! You can read it here if you wish so please don't be naive.

6. From 8 May 2019 onwards, however, Iran stopped implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA on a step-by-step basis until, on 23 February 2021, it stopped implementing them altogether, including the Additional Protocol. As a result, Iran no longer allows the Agency to conduct the following verification and monitoring activities in relation to the JCPOA.

36. The Agency’s JCPOA-related verification and monitoring has been seriously affected by the cessation of implementation by Iran of its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA. The situation has been exacerbated by Iran’s subsequent decision to have all of the Agency’s JCPOA-related surveillance and monitoring equipment removed.

37. The Agency has lost continuity of knowledge in relation to the production and current inventory of centrifuges, rotors and bellows, heavy water and UOC, which it will not be able to restore as a result of not having been able to perform JCPOA-related verification and monitoring activities for four years.

38. Iran’s decision to remove all of the Agency’s equipment previously installed in Iran for JCPOA-related surveillance and monitoring activities has also had detrimental implications for the Agency’s ability to provide assurance of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear programme.

39. It has also been four years since Iran stopped provisionally applying its Additional Protocol. Therefore, throughout this period, Iran has not provided updated declarations and the Agency has not been able to conduct complementary access to any sites and other locations in Iran.

40. The significantly increased production and accumulation of high enriched uranium by Iran, the only non-nuclear weapon State to produce such nuclear material, is of serious concern.

He genuinely has an IQ of about 80 I reckon. Putting aside all of his utterly revolting attributes (which is hard to do, admittedly) he's thick. He thought when he imposed tarrifs, other countries would pay them to the US!?!!
That’s what concerns me the most. Any action like this is bound to have unintended consequences. It’s doubtful Trump even realises this at all never mind having the insight to have a view on whether the potential consequences are worth the risk of taking the action in the first place.

Netanyahu understands how to manipulate him into doing whatever he wants with a combination of overblown flattery and obsequiousness and Trump’s too stupid to realise he’s being played.

Even that might be giving Trump too much credit. It’s probably nothing to do with Netanyahu.

It’s more likely because of the TACO and 2 week jibes getting under his skin.

Fortunately, whilst making a nuclear bomb is “easy”, making it small enough and delivering it the 1,000 miles to Israel before detonating it, it very, very difficult.
Absolutely this. Iran has various ballistic and cruise missiles but it would be difficult to create a reliable warhead that could be used on such a missile.

Cant stand Netanyahu or Trump.
But come on, Irainian Revolutionaly guards and their ilk are certainly not in any way innocent.
