The funny thing is the press are bigging up cunha and mbuemo and everybody even other fans fall for it, yes mbuemo scored 20 goals last year but he has NEVER done that before and he outperformed his expected goals by almost 7 which will be massively unlikely to happen again but the way the press are spinning it they are signing a perpetual 20 goal a season striker, same with cunha a fantastic season last year but he is probably a 1 in 3 striker at best with a terrible attitude but according to the press he is a goal machine, they have signed 2 players who had very good seasons last season but there is just as much likelihood that they revert to type as there is that they kick on to be fantastic players but the press gaslight everyone.

Cunha and Mbeumo are closer to one in four strikers in their overall careers. Another wild gamble by United. Happy days

I think Mbuemo is a good player but Brentford have been very structured and stable, and the attack was built around him. He'll probably be decent for them.

Cunha will give them some headline/highlight moments but agree he will be a mirage. The next Anthony.

Signing Cunha and Mbeuno but then moving Argentinian Lurch and potentially Danish Luke Chadwick. Where do they get any depth to their squad doing this?
This is a very simplistic (moneyball) way of looking at things, but if the side that finished 15th last season, had the goals and assists of Cunha and Mbueno added to their tally. They would have finished on more goals than Liverpool with 93.

Really surprised that a top four club is not going for Mbeuno. 20 goals and 8 assists from the right wing, in the hardest league in the world.

That’s another simplistic way of looking at it, however nothing is guaranteed in football with all the variables in play. Example being City scored 96 goals in the 23/24 premier league season, does that mean the tally will be higher with the additions of Savinho and Gudonghan in the summer and the likes of Marmoush coming mid season. That didn’t happen they ended up with 72 in total for the premier league.

I suppose for the rags one way of looking at it their goal scored couldn’t get any worse could it?

As i said with mbuemo the press are acting like he is a perennial 20 goal a season striker, this season is an anomaly and he outperformed his expected targets, in fact this is only the second time he has scored double digits in the league.

So he’s basically like Rashford then?

Oh yes it could...

We'll all see next season that there's a good reason for this

Sacking staff, finishing lower mid table, winning fuck all, not to mention about £400 million in debt.

How are these cunts still spending like this? And even more pertinently, why the hell are decent players still considering joining them?

Good news is that the Scum are so bad that they realistically might be relegated next season.

Cunha and Mbeumo (if it happens) for them = or < Santa Cruz and Benjani for us back in the day. Glad they're getting excited about the possibility.

Thats like saying we would have won the league had we had Matz Sels in goal because he had 13 clean sheets when in reality we play 2 very different systems
