Yea I think he'll leave on the free. We've clearly prioritised other positions this window and the last, but I think the sense is next summer, our top priority is a new keeper (even if it sets up back 60+m) and so losing ~20m on Ederson's resale value for one last great season is worth it
 
feel like too many leave for free. Don’t know if that’s the right choice. Guess he is looking for a big pay day when signing for Saudi next season. Hopefully the squad knows who will join in 12 months then.
 
I see no issue with Eddie leaving for free when his contract runs out.

Good question, Aaron Ramsdale perhaps? Maybe trafford if we can sell him the long term vision or nick pope if trafford goes to newcastle? Sam Johnstone an option too. As a short term answer if we could convince him id not say no to Kasper S. Not as reliable but maybe Muric as second choice? Did ok the year he was here second choice although his confidence is gone these days. Even a good championship keeper wouldnt be the worst option like Alex Palmer. England under 21 keeper at Brighton who was on loan in champ last year has looked good in the euros but i think id prefer more experience.

I don't know if Ramsdale would come to be the backup but I'd definitely take him. With Southampton being relegated, I'd imagine we could get him for a reasonable price.
 
Not for this summer now ederson is staying but that juve keeper should be right near the top of our list of potential replacements.

Bit strange saying that after he has just conceded 5 but he looked very good.

We've let Aguero, Silva, Fernandinho, kompany, Gundo, Yaya, Zaba, Clichy, Navas all go for free under Pep and id say we've fared pretty well

Think thats been a big part of our success, letting players go at the right time and not getting baited by nostalgia
