9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

Love him to cut his hair and be Salzburg haaland again . His assisting is getting better and he is getting chances now we are moving the ball faster and he will score lots .
 
Fantastic holding up the ball, bringing others into the game and running at the opposition. He's got a brilliant touch and so much speed and power. The media will be loving this new Haaland that gets involved in the game more. Turns out he can play football.

He actually got a decent number of assists in his first season. One behind his countryman at Arsenal, who everyone was gushing over as a playmaker.

There wasn't that many players ahead of him for assists in the league that season.

So he's always been capable but it requires other attacking minded players to get in good positions and us to play with attacking intent.

We always complain opponents park the but our slow build up play allows them to set themselves defensively and why wouldn't they? - then it gets congested and Haaland isn't really gonna shine there.

Play with pace and intent and he's a different animal, look at the two he set up for Phil in the 6-3 win over the rags.

Those Haaland and Foden goals (our 3rd and 4th) v Reds in the 6-3 are up there with my all time faves. Still annoys me that we gave them 2 back at the end!

So happy we did not just play balls into him at head or chest height just because he is tall. When played to feet he has the ability to play it and lay it off. Maybe it’s Rodders being back, but it makes a huge difference.
 
33 goals last season, with very little/poor service ,in a team that wasn't functioning as it should do, isn't his fault, give him the service he will score the goals , he will get another 30 plus next season , he isn't or hasn't been the problem
