Nothing. He scored. Again. For the 189729817289 time.He makes tap ins look extremely hard. He was lucky with the Juventus one. What's going on?
“that’s it really”, that’s the problem. We’re paying half a million a week for this. It's just not that easy to be the striker in the middle of about 6 defenders.
Not needed in the build up today, did his job as a poacher, was unlucky with the one off the line.
That's it really, if others had taken their chances and we weren't so fragile at the back, we would have won the game with relative ease and he gets a goal along the way.
Well yes it's our mistake if we're expecting him to drop to the halfway line, pick up the ball and dribble past 6 to score.“that’s it really”, that’s the problem. We’re paying half a million a week for this.
Think you’ve misunderstood me, I’m not saying he should be dropping deep, we should be creating much more for him. We have the best striker in the world and we give him awful wingers and play fucking Bernardo behind him, it’s pointless, no wonder he strolls around looking boredWell yes it's our mistake if we're expecting him to drop to the halfway line, pick up the ball and dribble past 6 to score.
He's a pure striker, one of the best in the World. We're paying him that because he guarantees us goals. We lost because of other things.
146 appearances, 124 goals. A goal or assist on average every game. These are not normal numbers.
Ah okay, I think that's a fair criticism of the season passed, but not of this game to be honest. To me we look more creative and more dangerous now. The issue was as soon as Al Hilal came out a bit more aggressively and attacked, we let them score twice straight away. If we'd not been so soft at the back, we would have the chance to exploit the extra space they were leaving.Think you’ve misunderstood me, I’m not saying he should be dropping deep, we should be creating much more for him. His movement is dictated by the way we play. You can almost see the excitement in his face when he can get the ball and give it and go. Its one of the sadder things of the last 18 months that we've limited him, and yet he still keeps scoring. His movement isn't as good as it was but his link up play keeps getting better.
No he wouldn’t, Dembele is miles better as an all round footballer and presses way more. He’d look very good at Liverpool but that’s because he’s 10x better than Darwin Nunez. Haaland looks like he’s given up on trying to be the best player in the world, I remember when he joined i thought he’d be a top 3 player in the world till 2032, but now he might not even be in the top 3 player in the worst City team since 2010. (Player for player) I will say this, it’s not all his fault, his movement (when he’s not whinging) is absolutely incredible we still just don’t have a creative machine at this team like prime KDB to spot his runs. Our style of play and the way teams set up smothers him. Put him in that PSG team or a Klopp style of play and he’d be the best in the world
His brand is huge biggest cheer at every game he got in the states and in Saudi two years ago and he wasn’t even in the squad then. But that brand will deteriorate soon enough
Looked very leggy from the onset and at times looked lazy just strolling about. I accept the heat probably played its part but other players at least run their knackers into the ground. Not keen on this idea that he needs to keep playing to find his rhythm. When does that end? At some point, we might find that he needs rest and competition rather than no rest and all competitions.
A total of 4,041 minutes for us and 881 minutes for the national squad, so 4,922 . That's about 54 games and change in the calendar year. No wonder he looks tired.Looked very leggy from the onset and at times looked lazy just strolling about. Didn`t Rodders play something like 67/70 games two seasons ago and he rightly complained that too many games were being played in a season.A total of 4,041 minutes for us and 881 minutes for the national squad, so 4,922 . But when they are sat in negotiations with agents demanding hundreds of thousands per week, they can’t really complain, these tournaments are helping pay their wages.Didn`t Rodders play something like 67/70 games two seasons ago and he rightly complained that too many games were being played in a season.
Havn`t the world footballers unions taken FIFA to task over this.Footballers should go on strike against FIFA for the ridiculous amount of shit competitions that are flooding the market.
