Club World Cup - Summer 2025

Absolutely no reason why we can't make the final now. That draw has fallen very kind for us.

I know this is moaning for moanings sake (I am a City fan afterall) but why is the quarter final we might qualify for on the 4th whereas the PSG Bayern one is on the 5th, same for our game and the Inter game to be fair just think its a bit of daft scheduling.

Having said that if we go all the way we get an extra days rest before the final than the teams on the other side of the draw so suppose it evens itself out

No surprise there. But they’re pissing into the wind. This tournament will go massive in the latter stages - then it will be who cares about the Daily fucking Mail rags fanzine.

I think we will already be picking up more global fans because of the performances too.
 
I think the tournament has now kicked in, the media reporting on the City win vs Juve has made people sit up and take notice, also the number of people with City shirts on must send shockwaves to the Premier League so-called history clubs, Little Old City my arse

Maybe the PL will now realise the damage they are doing to their product by constantly pursuing us!!

Hope so, but I’m not too bothered if Inter get through, got a lot of respect for their fans after we played them in Istanbul, great supporters that night under difficult conditions.

Never going to please everyone but they generally try to keep it so that games in the same section of the draw are played on the same day. That way each of the four QFs will be contested between teams who’ve had the same amount of rest days with that concept also applying to both SFs.
Obviously the final is the one exception. If you want the SFs on different days, one of the winners will always have an extra day before the final.
