Emyln begley is generally ok. Ie neutral.
That piece is very different to his normal output.
It’s as though he’s been told to do a hatchet piece on City (and to a lesser extent Chelsea), but has written it in a style that toes the cartel party line but is obviously not what he wants to write.

Hmm. The article does seem to tail off at the end without a conclusion. Like he got in all the points he wanted but without any over-reaching argument. Pretty poor really. Especially as there are some pretty good articles that could be written about the distorting effect of big competitions and what should be done to correct it.

The article stinks of simplistic and cynical journalism: create a narrative and then perpetuate it on the grounds of public interest, because ...... whatever.

As you say, it’s just not fair. No mention of the fact that us & Chelsea earned the right to be at the CWC.
Or fail to highlight why the PL clubs are getting higher participation fees than the Brazilians, amongst the others, mainly because of the much higher profile of the PL.

Or that the near empty attendances by City are highest than approx 75% of the premier league clubs average attendances.

So this is totally sums up the bbc complaints procedure. Totally not fit for purpose. I’ve had some pretty generic, rubbish replies recently but this tops the lot. Not only have they not answered any my points, they clearly didn’t read my complaint. The two referenced articles that were posted AFTER the game, were nothing to do with the lack of live coverage of the game, or the question I posed about simple Simon’s live feed of the rags friendly. This is proof if any was needed that the BBC can do what they want, when they want, and there is nothing we can do about it. Absolutely no point in replying to them. What a shit country we live inView attachment 161326
You can do a lot about it. First, stop letting them trigger you and secondly stop paying them money, believe me you'll feel much better.

It’s just not fair….. utterly pathetic.
The crimson cockroaches have surpassed themselves this morning lol. I felt moved to comment on the story
"A disgrace Liverpool and Man United weren't invited. All this publicity about unfair earnings, poor weather, empty stadiums, weak teams and a meaningless tournament would instantly disappear and we'd get proper match reports and decent football related coverage instead."

Anything that tells the truth about the entitled arse cheeks or their plastic followers will be removed using some bollocks excuse.
If you want something publishing on the paedo protectors website, you need to say something libellous or tell lies about Manchester City.

No point complaining. OFCOM has been so overwhelmed with complaints the backlog takes years. The BBC is unaccountable and out of control. Their staff are still tweeting biased and political comments on X despite being banned from doing so four years ago. Impartiality is a sham for senior people.

Or any mention of the huge crowds for group stages. Higher than the early stages of the World Cup, Euros, or the CL. No balance. No fairness. No accuracy. Disgusting abuse of taxpayers money.

ESPN: Guardiola has been keen to tell everyone that this is a fresh start and a clean slate with last season's disastrous campaign placed firmly in the rearview mirror.

Disastrous. Ffs. Bet these cunts never described the 7 times Liverpool finished 3rd in the PL as disastrous.
Ah but we are judged at a higher level.
Liverpool have never won 2 in a row never mind 4 and they have never been close to a treble. :-)

This.
Bet there were none of these headlines when Dippers were in it last and if the Rags were in it, no doubt BBC would be showing it with Slimy Stone travelling with the Rags, reporting PR daily.
They go on about attendances but ours and others have been good, despite lots being played during office hours on weekdays in extreme heat.
Every tournament has some lower quality teams in the group stages which draws lower crowds.

When the Dippers were in it in 2019, BBC bought the rights to show it and the BBC narrative on it was typically so different due to the Dippers ( who only entered it at the semi final stage).

The deal with Fifa, world soccer’s governing body, will see the BBC air every match from the Club World Cup across its linear and digital channels. Liverpool's games will be shown live on BBC TV and every other match will be made available via the BBC Sport or BBC iPlayer digital platforms.

Philip Bernie, head of BBC TV Sport, said: “We're very excited to broadcast the Fifa Club World Cup and show audiences the best teams in world football across our free-to-air channels.

“Along with the Fifa World Cup, Uefa European Championship and FA Cup, this competition is a fantastic addition to the BBC's football portfolio.”

I don’t recall reading any similar articles about the impact of Champions League money on the competitiveness of the EPL ! You could make exactly the same argument but, as it’s the favoured few benefiting there’s nothing to see. The criticisms levelled at the CWC regarding, pitches, venues and weather etc… won’t be repeated at the World Cup (proper) next summer which tells you this whole agenda being played out is little more than a childish tantrum by the Red Cartel who feel excluded.

The media bias towards cartel has been working. Unsettling players like Isaak and Gordon..helping players like Wirtz choose tge cartel....its all a slow process discrediting City and creating a BS narrative re certain cartel clubs. Its working though tbf...
