I used to play tennis and really loved it but I detest Wimbledon and its tweeness, from Dan Maskell always saying “oh this could be a serious injury” when a player fell over to the idiots shouting “come on Tim” or “come on Andy”, I hate it 100% and won’t watch a minute.

One of the highlights of the sporting year is the day it finishes.
Get off the fence hammo, why don’t you? Surely you must be able to find it in your heart to be thankful to Cliff for keeping the crowd’s spirits up during the rain breaks?

Great for the fans they have a roof now so Cliff doesn’t need to entertain, I know it’s each to there own and understand Wimbledon brings a lot of joy to fans but I can’t lie, just hate it!

Oh I hate that as well, my mate is going to the Masters next year and has been told anyone shouting that gets kicked out, quite rightly.
Wow…Americans will be asked to show restraint and decorum!
(This is no reflection on those esteemed yanks who contribute to this forum of course)

I wish the BBC would realise that people only want to watch the music and nobody has the slightest interest in anything their presenters have to say. The same is true of their football coverage of course
I can't watch their presenters. They seem to have all been trained on play school and treat their audience like we are slightly dim four year olds.

'And through the round window is 1975 on the pyramid stage'.

Try getting on local public tennis courts during Wimbledon, not a fukin chance….rest of the year empty

Wonder how many of those Rags actually remember the year 2000 when their club refused to participate in the FA Cup, instead, competing in the Club World Cup!

Their first group game was played in front of a 2,000 crowd in a 90,000 stadium in Rio de Janeiro!!
Yeah I remember it well.
Rag liars claiming they were helping England's bid to host the world cup by participating when the real reason was money.
They could have still entered the FA Cup if they had wanted to.

It's nice to see the periodic gratuitous crowd shots of Sir David though.

No need to build a defence mate, VCRs are ace, like the visual version of vinyl, and they're cool, right?

(I've also got a betamax player in the loft due to all my old city videos which I used to record off the tele being on that format, much like your camcorder stuff. Far superior in quality to VHS, but I can't connect it to any "new" TVs as I need some sort of special lead and I CBA searching around for one, one day I'll get round to it - maybe :)

Speaking of vinyl I have boxes of the stuff in the loft I just couldn’t bring myself to get rid like most people did so on the back off that I’ve just dugout my old kenwood stack
The deck was fucked so bought a new decent deck and replaced the amp with one with Bluetooth and wifi built in.
Apologies for the shite off topic ramble

I keep reading about how difficult it is for the other teams in the league if our punishment isn’t decided before the start of next season. Firstly why mention punishment as if it’s a fact when we may well not be guilty and (b) how is it bad for the other clubs, how bad do the cunts think it’s been for us year after year of finger pointing suspicion? Cunts

I asked the bbc how many staff they send to Glastonbury each year they never got back to me.

The BBC sends a significant number of staff and presenters to cover the Glastonbury Festival, though exact figures vary by year and source. In 2025, an estimated 400 BBC staff and freelancers are reported to be involved in covering the event, including specialist technical and camera crews, producers, and presenters, to deliver over 90 hours of live performances across TV, BBC iPlayer, radio, and BBC Sounds. This number is consistent with earlier years, such as 2014, when 300 staff were reported to have clear and accountable roles. Additionally, posts on X in 2025 suggest around 500 BBC workers may attend, though this figure is unverified and could include both staff and freelancers.

For 2025, the presenting team includes at least 25 named broadcasters across TV and radio, such as Clara Amfo, Lauren Laverne, Jo Whiley, Nick Grimshaw, Annie Macmanus, Zoe Ball, Huw Stephens, Jack Saunders, Jamz Supernova, and others. These presenters host live coverage, interviews, and highlights across platforms like BBC One, Two, Four, Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, and 6 Music, contributing to the extensive festival coverage.
