Noticeable this morning little mike on the BBC hasn't made any mention of Chelsea playing tonight...it's not just us then.

He did have time to talk forever about some young egg chaser, a young British girl who has had a surprise with the Wimbledon draw, some shit about Formula 1 and a mention to England U21's.

All this while the whole show has been padded out with random shite from Glasto.

I'll not pay into the court's coffers
For she offered me her honour
A half hour before I was upon her.

:-)
(Strictly speaking, not quite a limerick but fuckit tis close enough)
She offered her Honour,
He honored her offer, and all night long
It was honour and offer

I had the same conversation with my wife. Obviously, everything stops for Wimbledon. I'm always surprised they manage to function during Wimbledon-the number of complimentary tickets they receive is crazy. I used to work for an IT company and we knew it was pointless to try to plan work at the BBC during the Glasto/Wimbledon period.

This.
Bet there were none of these headlines when Dippers were in it last and if the Rags were in it, no doubt BBC would be showing it with Slimy Stone travelling with the Rags, reporting PR daily.
They go on about attendances but ours and others have been good, despite lots being played during office hours on weekdays in extreme heat.
Every tournament has some lower quality teams in the group stages which draws lower crowds.

When the Dippers were in it in 2019, BBC bought the rights to show it and the BBC narrative on it was typically so different due to the Dippers ( who only entered it at the semi final stage).

The deal with Fifa, world soccer’s governing body, will see the BBC air every match from the Club World Cup across its linear and digital channels. Liverpool's games will be shown live on BBC TV and every other match will be made available via the BBC Sport or BBC iPlayer digital platforms.

Philip Bernie, head of BBC TV Sport, said: “We're very excited to broadcast the Fifa Club World Cup and show audiences the best teams in world football across our free-to-air channels.

“Along with the Fifa World Cup, Uefa European Championship and FA Cup, this competition is a fantastic addition to the BBC's football portfolio.”

& the attendance of Liverpools 2 games were 45k which is lower than the near empty attendances this year.

Still up, not very bright them cockroaches!
You've done well to get this past the Rag infested sports department.
I went on earlier for a laugh to read the bitter comments from the Rags, Dippers and Tarquins who took the time to comment about how much they aren't bothered about City on an article about CWC.

I used to play tennis and really loved it but I detest Wimbledon and its tweeness, from Dan Maskell always saying “oh this could be a serious injury” when a player fell over to the idiots shouting “come on Tim” or “come on Andy”, I hate it 100% and won’t watch a minute.

One of the highlights of the sporting year is the day it finishes.

Wonder how many of those Rags actually remember the year 2000 when their club refused to participate in the FA Cup, instead, competing in the Club World Cup!

Their first group game was played in front of a 2,000 crowd in a 90,000 stadium in Rio de Janeiro!!

True but nothing beats “get in the hole” at the golf Hammo

The same BBC that had zero interest in Glastonbury until the “look at me” brigade showed up a few years ago. I personally find the BBCs coverage sycophantic and damn right annoying at times
I wish the BBC would realise that people only want to watch the music and nobody has the slightest interest in anything their presenters have to say. The same is true of their football coverage of course

It did go downhill somewhat the day Andrea Temesvari stopped competing.
