We really need to play to his strengths. I don’t care if it goes in off his arse, his shoulder or his shin as long as it goes in. But if we play the way we’ve played the last 18 months we may as well flog him because he looks bored, he doesn’t move like he did and he’s missing chances he’d have buried in the past.
His movement has been a little better in this tournament so hopefully it’s a positive sign and his arrogance will return.

Not keen on this idea that he needs to keep playing to find his rhythm. When does that end? At some point, we might find that he needs rest and competition rather than no rest and all competitions.
It's just not that easy to be the striker in the middle of about 6 defenders.
Not needed in the build up today, did his job as a poacher, was unlucky with the one off the line.
That's it really, if others had taken their chances and we weren't so fragile at the back, we would have won the game with relative ease and he gets a goal along the way.

He’s missing chances but that’s a striker’s life - he’s still scoring for us and his link up play has been massively improved this tournament imho. He’s been injured or playing solidly for the whole year, let’s see how he does after six weeks rest that no doubt he really needs.

Ah okay, I think that's a fair criticism of the season passed, but not of this game to be honest. To me we look more creative and more dangerous now. The issue was as soon as Al Hilal came out a bit more aggressively and attacked, we let them score twice straight away. Our style of play and the way teams set up smothers him. Put him in that PSG team or a Klopp style of play and he’d be the best in the world
His brand is huge biggest cheer at every game he got in the states and in Saudi two years ago and he wasn’t even in the squad then. But that brand will deteriorate soon enough

No he wouldn’t, Dembele is miles better as an all round footballer and presses way more. He’d look very good at Liverpool but that’s because he’s 10x better than Darwin Nunez. Haaland looks like he’s given up on trying to be the best player in the world, I remember when he joined i thought he’d be a top 3 player in the world till 2032, but now he might not even be in the top 3 player in the worst City team since 2010. Looked very leggy from the onset and at times looked lazy just strolling about. I accept the heat probably played its part but other players at least run their knackers into the ground.Not keen on this idea that he needs to keep playing to find his rhythm. When does that end? I lost count the number of times that Doku beat his man and then there was no one to look for in the box and this should be Haalands bread and butter but he wasn`t keeping up with play, hence my wording that he looked "leggy".
