Still a lot of money for potential. At that price I expect near enough the real deal. His potential is still worth more to Newcastle than to City and the money is better spent elsewhere. I don't think he is better than Nunes at all. If he was we would have signed him ahead of Newcaslte.In this day in age you have to pay for potential. I'd also argue he's a better player currently than Nunes at right back even before he reaches his maximum potential.
Nunes is not a long term solution and never will be, as well as he did toward the end of last season if wer'e relying on him to help us solidify our flimsy looking backline going forward we won't get anywhere near our previous levels. He simply doesn't have the defensive instinct or brain to play there at the top top level.

Was left out the England squad in the recent games as the manager knew he'd not play and thought it'd be more beneficial get tournament experience with U21s.
