Palestine Action

Don't exaggerate, you are now looking silly.

An ex military guy on here has already pointed out the rules of engagement and the fact that you could actually be shot in certain situations on a UK military base.
Yeah, just not the situation that we're actually talking about. Keep up.

Did they Bob, can you show me the evidence for that statement? Otherwise I will have to assume you have just made that up?

You don’t remember the backlash to Farage’s comments about the Stockport murders? Suggestions there was a ‘cover up’ and that the suspect was an asylum seeker under police surveillance?

Or the attempted defence of the rioters and that it wasn’t the work of the far right?

‘These young lads that are going out, probably had one too many, they’ve got involved with the wrong crowd, they’re throwing stones, they’re damaging stuff,” Lee Anderson, Reform U.K.’s chief whip in the House of Commons, told GB News Tuesday, in one of the only examples of an MP trying to defend those rioting.

“These are not far-right thugs, they’re just young idiots who got carried away,” Anderson added.

You see him saying this if the protesters and rioters were Asian? Farage and Reform are all about divide and rule. Split the country, divide the population and pit one against the other. Isn’t that a form of terrorism as per the definition you cited?

To be honest no, but I dont follow what he says that much. And luckily I was on holiday when those riots happened so missed much of that very unsavoury episode in the news. So can you post the links to the incitement you mentioned please? Genuinely interested as he and reform appear to be gaining traction and pulling ahead in polls.

I do recall him saying he thought that sentencing people to jail for a fb post was too harsh. I tend to ageee with him on that. People who commit violent assaults were and have continued to be be punished less severely in our courts which I find puzzling. But that is a different issue.

I’m complaining about the fact the government decided after this act of vandalism to declare them a terrorist group which they are not, if you can show me who’s being terrorised here maybe you can change my opinion.

We’re going further down a slippery slope here declaring things we don’t agree with as terrorism. Starmer didn’t have an issue with similar protests 30 odd years ago. I wonder what (who) has forced this change of opinion.
Putting pressure on the Government bringing about a change in Government policy by using violent agressive tactics is the very definition of terrorism.

Did they have a new one knocking about to replace it as it was back flying within 2 days
They have to have engines that are available to maintain operational capability.. they cover the trooping flights for many overseas locations and need to maintain the tanker capability so they have to be able to swap out an engine when required..

I’m not sure whether any of the greenham or molesworth mobs pledged their allegiance to a specific group

Maybe “Blow Jobs Are Us” as they offered those for peanuts

Where was the violence? Or is throwing paint on an animate object deemed as violence now.

And the government need all the pressure we can put on it in due to the stance they’ve taken. They’re a disgrace.

How many times do you need this explaining to you.
Palestine Action. were not. designated a terror group. from the RAF action. ALONE! It was the last straw from MULTIPLE incidents. Just because you didn't hear about them all on News at Ten doesn't mean they haven't been reported and recorded by the authorities when they happened.

Short version; It's not just because of the paint incident.

Well I’ve just googled to find these multiple incidents and while I’m a FOC I can’t find any, maybe you can show me these?

They also smashed their way into the building using sledge hammers and threatened the security guard. A good friend of mine works for the BBC in that very building and told me the whole incident has shaken all the bbc staff who work there.

But that's the only other incident I'm personally aware of.

In fairness this Al-Jazeera article does list various actions they have done.

However the treat they pose compared to the two other organisations proscribed on the same day makes you question the why

It wasn't when Starmer defended the Fairford Five

Thanks, no mention of any violence to members of the public or services as far as I can see.

Thanks for posting. Umm, not great that tbh. But I'm not sure it does exactly what Bob implied in his post?
However In my opinion, the murderer was a terrorist. He was referred a number of times to prevent was he not? and he had a terrorist manual did he not? Probably more of a terrorist than Palestine Action? Anyway best not drag all that up again. The whole thing and the resulting riots were an awful shameful episode.

Sounds about right for a large jet engine.
When the only way of making sure that the engine is safe is to remove it transport it and have the manufacturer strip, examine and reassemble it before testing it and shipping it back to where it was damaged then I certainly wouldn’t want to pay the bill

The 772B variant(fitted to the Voyager)of this Rolls Royce engine is rumoured to be around $25M each.
