I didn't think Atkinson had, but I stand to be corrected.
The bowling attack is too predictable.

I like Woakes but there needs to be cloud cover for him.
Carse. They said how well he bowled on Saturday morning, but I just saw him going at 5s.
Tongue. Now he's got a yard but I'm not convinced he knows where it's going.
Bashir. Got some potential but he's never test class spinner. Somerset don't want him and neither do Gloucestershire!
I would have dropped woakes in last test match and played Curran who would have been good on that surface also bats well and think woakes has a good record at lords

Totally agree.
Bowling at Lords is a 'skill' in itself. You need knowhow, that's why South Africa got Broad working with their bowlers.

England XI for third Test against India: Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (captain), Jamie Smith, Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Shoaib Bashir.

Archer in for Tounge. Thought there'd be more changes than this

One change archer for Tongue

Mad so mad carse shouldn’t be playing he had a foot problem and looked cooked!

Said before Crawley will get the Aussies series then he be dropped because we seen enough of him now to know he is a very poor openers regarding his decision making!

I understand them picking Woakes with his superb record at Lord, but surely the plan isn't for him to be on the plane to Australia this winter?

I'd have also dropped Carse over Tounge

Phil Salts bat, deemed illegal by the umpires on the field last week, has now been cleared by the regulator. He has been using this bat for two years. What is going on?

Agree Tongue can hit 90mph 2 years younger looked fitter!

Hope we lose the toss because think if we win the toss stokes will bowl and batting last on the lords pitch will be very hard it will spin

The Aussie opening bowlers will be licking their lips. Just a matter of which one will make him their bunny. He's wank and won't average anywhere near 40 in tests in Australia. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he manages an average above 30.

Well so far he's averaging less than 30 on two roads at Headingly and Edgbaston, so he'll average low 20s in Australia.
Have you seen Cummins talking about the pitches here compared with the ones in the West Indies?

Basically calls it 'two different games'.

A bit surprised England chose to bat, back in the day if b&h cup and NatWest cup it was always the fine thing to bowl first as the wicket always helped the bowlers early doors. Mind you I am an FOC and it was 30 plus years ago. What does Crawley have to do to get dropped (prove me wrong son) and Bethell is too talented not to play
