Maximo Perrone to Como | Romano reports fee of €13m agreed

Cant help but think he could have done a job last season in the 6 for us. Seems like the a decent back up option for us but never got a chance. Reminds me a bit of Alex Garcia another player i thought we let go too soon when we had little to no cover in the holding role.

Oh well, 13m better than nothing, is there any profit there? Cant remember how much we paid for him
Not much profit, we paid about 8m for him i think.
Just add him to that list of players we buy, loan out and eventually sell, all without them getting even close to the first team

I suppose it’s down to this players out on loan limit, and our wish to keep the 6 players out as players who we reckon can make it back at City.
There is no limit on the players we can loan, we will probably loan out 15 this season.
The limit is more on how many players a club can take in.
We could, in theory, loan 1 player to every PL club
Loaning out players early to decent clubs is a major job this season.

I just saw some stuff on another thread about there being a limit of 6, didn’t question it tbh, just assumed it was accurate.

Thats 6 to foreign clubs
So I suppose it’s still pretty relevant with regards Perrone then, we’ve got a few that are likely to be going out to Europe - Bah, Echeverri, Reis etc, so boxing off a deal for Perrone probably made sense even though it seems a bit of a steal.

Como a lovely part of the world..
But not a hotbed for Football

Their minted owners are doing this weird thing of trying to turn the club into a luxury brand, a lot of Italian club shops are different from ours but theirs takes it further. They don't let more than about half a dozen people at a time in and it's done out like an exclusive designer shop in somewhere like Milan, the assistants are well sniffy. Venezia have had a go at this malarkey too but Como do other things too like artisan beer brands, match hospitality at historic villas, fancy merch at daft prices. In fairness it's probably not a bad business idea given where they are located etc and it's not a million miles away from the commercial activity of most big clubs etc but it's just that next notch away again from traditional football. Football as an adjunct to luxury tourism.

Must be getting to the point where we can decide to pay top wack that we might have been holding off doing now that Perrone, Walker, Alfa-Ruprecht, probably McAtee
