PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The information I have stated on here doesn't co-exist with PBs. They are mutually exclusive. You can't have it both ways. If correct, PB has a World exclusive story on the biggest sport story of recent times and everything I have been told has been false. It is really as simple as that.

But, as I have said, that no decision is out is from multiple top top top sources and is not a secret or something people are shy about saying. Of course, the situation can change the second an email drops but as of earlier this week, that was the position.

It was an important stage in the cartel campaign against us, by using their majority to force the PL into making these confected charges they have ensured we have a public case to answer over a lengthy period and were able to frame it in the most prejudicial way possible. Their duplicity will never be forgotten or forgiven by our owners,

This is - imho - absolutely right but surely as mentioned before, Khaldoon has had a good indication of how things went from Pannick. That’s why we paid so much for good KCs - to ensure a sound presentation to the panel - & to get good feedback after the trial.

There have been media stories that have confirmed that no decision has been issued. James Ducker wrote the last one from memory. The Lawyer has said similar too from their sources. Nobody has yet got hold of PB's explosive world exclusive.

As a group, the lawyers (solicitors, barristers and internal counsel) would have a feel as would others. And, it is self evident that City are confident and have been throughout (spending and other soft signals).

But there are no guarantees and I KNOW (yes from top, top, top sources), that they hope they landed some key arguments but that they recognise there is no certainty and litigation risk is substantial and real in all cases.

And both sides had multiple top KCs so you can be assured the PL also presented its case aggressively and with a high degree of quality.

There is nothing particularly exclusive about PBs take, it is commonplace in the media and has been since the charges dropped. Characterizing his account as some sort of word exclusive outlier is a rather disingenuous way of rubbishing what to many is the most likely outcome.

I wasn’t commenting on the veracity of the two rumours more that multiple rumours can exist at the same time. The one thing I have learned over my years is that sometimes a rumour that seems unlikely does prove to be true although in this case it is going to be irrelevant anyway because the focus will be on the actual decision published.

Yep. That’s sums up my thoughts. Just hoping now that all turns out ok as I still don’t think we deserved to be investigated to this degree & in isolation of all other clubs who seem to be able to avoid a 10 year examination of their whole business
