sorry maybe im not understanding your point? What theory?

The above poster was saying that Trafford doesn’t have the experience at the top level. I’m saying we’ve signed loads of players like that and we aren’t a club that just buys ready made world class players
My reply was not at your post but that of Dubciteh who appears to think that any goalkeeper who has played in a European league must be superior

Ederson spent a lot of last season injured and if he doesn't leave this summer it'll be next, as seems he's ready for something different. We're going to need a new keeper soon and if everything falls into place this summer, then we should do it. We've got Dias, Gvardiol, Ake, Khusanov and Reis for centre half, even assuming Stones and Akanji move on
Ake wont be fit long enough to have an impact
Khusonov and more so Reis are completely unproven at this level - Im not sure why everyone thinks Reis is going to be good enough - he has barely played so itsimpossible to tell one way or another.
Dias had a very poor season last season and looks too slow in our back line with out the likes of walker to cover in behind him

We have no right back at all
we are one injury away from having to play Nico Oreilly at left back as well

When did i say that? I havent said anyone is superior to Trafford, I havent commented on Traffords ability once. You have completely made that up.

'Not at all. Those keepers are used to playing in Europe usually the champions league and are usually established internationals(in the case of costa), playing at the top of those leagues under intense pressure and scrutiny(for likes of Porto) is far more difficult than knocking about in front of 20,000 fans at turf moor in the championship. Mentally alone its a completely different ball game. Those keepers generally havent flopped in the past and regardless of his age Traffords first season in not necessarily his fault but he has played a part.' Your post in case you forgot its content

Just watched his highlights. My only concern is that a few times he punched the ball when he probably should have held on to it.

You have clearly missed the point of everything I have said.

Thats a different point to the one you made initially. Phillips was experienced and was a flop, there are loads of examples of experienced players who are flops, it doesnt mean we shouldnt sign experienced players. There are very few players in the world who go from one season prem flop to a brilliant season in the championship and then becomes a key player in a team that wants to win everything instantly. Cant think of a single one. I cant think of a single player who goes from the championship to even winning the prem or champions league the very next season. Ian Maatsen nearly did it at Dortmund recently. Raphinha had a year in the prem smashing it. There the closest off top of my head in recent times.

“Trafford might be the one…” is the key, he might be he might very well be but as i have said many times already its a huge gamble. We want to be the best team in the world, the very best, taking a gamble on such an important postion is not something i would do. Too many unknowns here. Any other position and its not a debate. If he comes in as no2 then we are laughing, as a number 1 it doesnt feel the wisest decision.

Respect your opinion and really like you as a poster, but I'm happy to let the club make the decision

Blimey, hope this shower of shite can get to 40 points

Sorry but I don't get this if it even is true, he's a mile off what we need to replace Eddie if he goes.
But what the fuck do I know.
