lol, agree with you but m general, but I do think you’re being harsh on Emma Hayes.

Quite possible, she obviously knows loads but I can't shake the feeling that her primary objective is to.make sure people know just how good she is and how.much she knows.

You mean she’s opinionated? ;-)
I want that in a pundit, as long as they’re decent opinions.
I take your point though about how she can come across.

She's been named as part of the ITV team that's covering the Euros..
Someone was destined to have her part of their team. If not, there would have been lawsuits and nonstop talk of how it was "racism" and that's why she wasn't given a job. I'll let you guess who would file the lawsuits and start the talk about it being "racist."

Steph Houghton. Common sense and know how. IMHO :-)

Yep. And — I'm allowed to say this, or rather I'm allowing myself to say it, and to hell with anyone else— a good-looking woman. Not a qualification for the job (obviously) but a nice additional attribute.

Incidentally, to balance it out, I'm trying to think of a good-looking male pundit, from a woman's point of view. Now of course I'm not the best person to ask, but I confess I'm struggling a bit. Nedum? He's a decent-looking bloke, isn't he? (I admit I'm biased because I think he's so damn articulate and obviously intelligent. And modest with it).

I agree on Nedum. Not just good looking but a true gentleman as well. One of my favourite photos is of me and Nedum.

Dunnie is a good looking pundit also. Plus I agree that Steph is a good looking lass. :-)

The colour blue makes everyone good looking, however Aluko might be a bridge too far :)

Imagine getting up in the morning and knowing that your only in the job due to the race card but sadly she wont see that, she fooking embarrasing

Imagine getting up in the morning and bumping a thread that's had no posts for three weeks because you want to have a pop at someone who has literally never said a word to you, good or bad, in their entire life.

When I think of her, the phrase 'grace under pressure' always springs to mind, given everything shes got going on she seems to carry herself so well. Doubtless there must be times it's hugely challenging but she always strikes me as very professional, and grounded. She doesn't sugar coat the situation but does show great dignity I think. Might be unfair but despite her success I can't warm to Weigman I think in large part because of the way Houghton's England career ended.

Snap! There's just something about Weigman I can't take to.

To be fair we have opinions about everything that don't directly affect us, however when a needy fucker pops its head up (Aluka not you) it'd be rude not to have a pop at her.

I’m with you on that, I’ve been going to a few women’s matches locally over the past couple of years and what makes it enjoyable is the actual football, not the endless arguments off the pitch. The quality has come on loads, and you can really see the effort the players put in. That’s why it bugs me when the conversation always shifts back to drama. Ian Wright has been one of the biggest voices pushing the women’s game forward, so I don’t get why he’s suddenly being painted as part of the problem. Feels like it just drags attention away from the progress being made, and honestly I’d rather just focus on how much better the football is getting season after season.
