Carse looks finished for the duration, why do we pick these crocks?
I believe there was a bloke from the ECB there to inspect the wicket after the game ended. This has happened before in Taunton, most notably when they tried to force a result against Essex to win th CC on the last day.35 wickets fell in 150 odd overs. Do they still inspect pitches when loads of wickets have fallen? With points deducted if the pitch was deemed substandard?
Can’t find the one I was referring to. It was very hot and I’d been drinking, did I imagine it? More close games in those days due to the lower scoresI recall going to Bristol for a Nat West Trophy game in the late 80s, very tight game. Just looked it up, it was 1989, Gloucs batted first and got a mammoth 174/7 off 60 overs (including 30 extras) and Lancs scraped home by one wicket off the final ball. How times have changed with the way one-dayers are played now....and largely for the better!
Nobody better?Carse looks finished for the duration, why do we pick these crocks?
two thirds of all our bones are in the feet, looks like he's got an extra one now ;-(Pant looks absolutely fucked. What a ridiculous shot.
That can’t be true. Must be about a quarter.two thirds of all our bones are in the feet, looks like he's got an extra one now ;-(
Hes our best player currentlyGreen Bowled, what an Innings I hope the Aussies don't notice his form before the Ashes
It’s probably the dread metatarsal. A tiny injury but very debilitating.Nice one stokes got the main man out and pants looks like is a bad foot injury
He certainly is. His highest FC score before coming to Lancs was 60 odd, and he's now hit 3 Centuries, fair play to himHes our best player currently
correct, I must find and destroy the person who told me that - actually I think 50 years on it's unlikely that will be necessary. That can’t be true. Must be about a quarter.
Sounds like their metatarsals are well calcified by now.correct, I must find and destroy the person who told me that - actually I think 50 years on it's unlikely that will be necessary.
At least they haven't got Joel Garner anymore. Imagine facing him on that pitch.
He's only bowled in 2 and a half innings!!!Give him a chance.Archer reverting to type.
The Bellingham of English Cricket.
No consistency and all about him.
I like his bowling too. Gives us a measure of control. Whether he is a possible for the Ashes I don’t know, but he is a very decent all rounder by any standards. He certainly is. His highest FC score before coming to Lancs was 60 odd, and he's now hit 3 Centuries, fair play to him
