I believe there was a bloke from the ECB there to inspect the wicket after the game ended. This has happened before in Taunton, most notably when they tried to force a result against Essex to win th CC on the last day.35 wickets fell in 150 odd overs. Do they still inspect pitches when loads of wickets have fallen? With points deducted if the pitch was deemed substandard?
I know it's been a dry summer, but they haven't quite got the pitches right this year in England.
