City football shirts everywhere

One paragraph from the Evening Standard report on Oasis's first night at Wembley last night.

Earlier on Friday, a sea of bucket hats, Adidas merchandise and plenty of Manchester City football kits (both old and new) had swept down The Olympic Way, better known to many as Wembley Way

Came back yesterday from a week's cruise with Mrs H (Malta, Italy, Corfu etc, I know, v posh) and sorry to have to report that City shirts were very few and far-between - 1 Italian boy in a Haaland top, (brother Juve), couple of Leeds, Villa, West Ham, few more rags, quite a few Liverpool. Not at all what I expected, having kept an eye on this thread for a while
The word POSH comes from P&O
12 days in Thailand and now seen 3 City shirts, really disappointing as seen 8 rags though only 1 dipper. A Thai bloke and his kid high fived me when they saw my top so that’s something
The word POSH comes from P&O. When the rich travelling to and from India they wanted the sun to shine in their cabins hence posh, PORT OUT STARBOARD HOME.

I believe its the opposite, not wanting the sun shining into the cabin

Seen far more city shirts than united shirts round and about town this summer, and not just cos of oasis

I always hated spurs but them doing united in the europa final took the wind out of their sails. This summer would have had a bitter feel about it if united would have won that, and they would have been gobbing off and we'd have seen more of their shirts (oasis gigs might have been mlre hassle), but they know their place at the moment. Just need to keep them there
