It's Quiet the £250m return

Turkish media suggesting now that Donnarumma is their first choice, but they’ll go back to Ederson if they can’t get him. All those tweets above was from the last 2-3 hours
oh not seen anything around donnarumma to galatasaray

We've won a treble and 6 PL's without a Left Back.

Sad is the day when Muppets make more sense than Paniced bedwetters
FFS I give up,

We may aswell not buy anyone then because by your logic they have all won it all and should be able to do it again and again and again. Because they have before. Football changes, players age, teams age, teams improve, tactics improve. We need full backs to help with transitions, it’s why Kyle walker was so important. We get turned over/transitioned more regularly now than ever before because of our weak spots. Ie, midfield and full back.

Have you ever thought that the fuck up is further up the field rather than placing blame squarely on the defenders or goalkeepers?

People ooh and aah over Kovacic but he's not even a league 2 DM nevermind a PL DM and we've been made to watch what happens plenty of times last season because there was no Rodri there to save him!

What he suffered from most last season was a non existent press in midfield. But go ahead just blame Nunes LOL!

We fucked up against al-hilal with Rodri. 1 CM called reijnders isn’t going to change everything - especially when Bernardo turns captain and Gundogan getting regular minutes for no reason. Hating on Kovacic who was the only solid midfielder last season is crazy. He is not a DM but had to play there and did his best.
Bernardo and Gundogan were far weaker over the course of the season.

If your only solid midfielder keeps playing braindead and turning the ball over to good teams like Brentford, PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and they counter..

he's not a very solid midfielder is he?

Don't believe me.. go watch those games again against solid opposition instead of the easy teams we got at the end of the season.. you'll see how solid he really is!

Kovacic get's the chances he has got in his career because he is an immensely talented player.

The problem with him has been that he has seemingly not been able to consistently play at the level he could potentially play to for one reason or another. You see flashes of it, and games, and 3-4 game stretches where he plays phenomenal, but other moments that are just head scratchers.

He's great for depth for us and a great option to come off the bench. Can we win the league with him starting 20+ PL games next year? Probably not.

Bernardo has been one of the best signings of the Pep era, if not our entire history.
Honest, hardworking and fucking quality to match. A player that’s provided massive moments for us too. No respect for any City fan the disrespects him.

Should he be playing every week? Absolutely not but he’s still more than good enough to play a part and although I’d have personally chosen a couple of others over him, he’s earned that captains armband for the season.
Great post.

Yes kova is above Gundo at this point and on par with Bernardo but both are below the level of CM we need to win the league. Kova and Gundo need to be sold and I still think we need one more RB to be where we need to be. I also think our cbs are not good enough, stones, ake and akanji are way to injury prone.

Yeah that’s the challenge really, Rico has what special / elite midfielders have that ability scan and keeps his head moving probably why the club are so keen to keep him and develop him, His size doesn’t really matter in midfield similar to Gavi low centre of gravity. Gavi and Lewis are really similar if you watch both.

You give Rico a full season in the middle you’ll have people shouting for him to start for England and us every week.
Sorry but did you say Rico Lewis is elite ?

Just don’t think we have . Pep will always want to play an unconventional player in a position and if will be right back this season to show how smart he is .
It isn't shocking that a genius experiments.
Joelinton could have remained as a failing centre forward but top coaches develop players and see things in them that others do not.

I cannot wait for the Palermo game on the 9th and to see how things are developing. We have so much talent that obsessing about whether we will buy or will not buy a right back will not occupy ANY of my thoughts. I would like a few players to move on now to balance the squad but I have no desire for us to buy anyone else at all.
