Always considered that they're white elephants. If you get the greens, along with the yellows, i.e. that corner sewn up, you've got the rest of the players by the short and curlies. Often noticed it.

Back on track: I've been loving the way the media are spinning the arrival of the one-man cavalry from Brentford this summer. I seriously don't think United will end up in the top half of the table. Maybe just in the top half. Most definitely not top four. Not when you look at the way we, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all strengthened quite seriously. And useful teams like Brighton, Villa and Newcastle behind that group.
How long was it that Moses and the tribes of Israel roamed in the desert? Forty years, was it? Get ready to be parched, rags…
Are we about to see the parting of the Ship Canal?

Ha!

Here we go again by the obsessed Rag football media.

After beating the mighty West Ham and now Bournemouth, United are back, and they’ve got a new wonder kid again.

It’s so fucking boring and tedious.
It is boring and very tedious.

However, the sheeple are more than willing to be led by the gaslighting media.

I just wonder:

It's been twelve years now since the rags have won a premier league title. If in another twelve years the media are left with their pants down and have to report that next year will mark 25 years since this massive club's name appeared on the trophy. How many sheep will be left to follow them?

Players dont give a shit about CL. They still pay top wages and that only matters. Sesko is going to pick them
ok for work life balance no midweek football

i used to laugh at a rag at work banging on about work life balance and how management didnt care we worked 24 hour 7 day shift pattern

Shaw saying there target is the premier league Inn “all you can eat” buffet and he gets to say it with no one saying to him you finished 15th your team haven’t won the league in 13 years there are 14 clubs who were better than you last season!

This> it’s the clubs mentality we are M U that team has gone they are in the pack of 5/6 teams who can spend as much as them and more! Keep living in the past it will keep them coming up short!
Amended for accuracy @waspish

I for one am shocked

It is laughable that they think it could be built by 2030.
The area where the new freight terminal will be is still in planning (as of November 2024)
So…the freight terminal can’t be moved until, the new one is built (and all the other infrastructure required), so it’s what…3+ years if they started now.
IF it started now.
basic groundwork’s can happen at Trafford, but until St Helens opens to equal capacity of Trafford, it can’t be ripped up and start to be replaced.
The demolition and build for stadium and infrastructure is likely to be 3+ years as well.
Probably 4-5 in reality for such a project, given Wembley was 4 years.

A challenging conservative view, would be 3 (for St Helen’s build) years + 4 (Trafford demolition and build) years = 7 years.

But that’s if it started now.

It’s likely to be , 1-2 years minimum before St Helens gets the initial final go ahead, let alone starts.
9 years time at best.
Add in objections, planning disputes, economic conditions, United finances… it’s well into a decade from now.

Freightliner have them over a barrel, they don’t have to move, they don’t need to move, and they will be fine waiting for the start (let alone completion) of St Helens before even needing to talk to United about the cost. The value of land will just keep climbing (Manchester and its neighbours - subject to WW3 - is just going to keep growing), it would be worth more for freightliner to sell the land to anyone but United.

TLDR; it’s not going to happen

As above BUT. Freightliner (who own the land the Circus will allegedly be built on) want 400 million for it.
The rags value it at 40-50 million.

Oh my aching sides. It doesn't matter what the rags believe it is worth, if they don't pay somewhere near 400 million it won't be built. End of.

It's a bull shit exercise by Scruffy and he is now being called out on it. Pay up or shut up Scruffy/Coe/Birmingham/ are selling lies.

Such a shame! After all it “will bring £7.3bn a year to the UK economy” and “create 92,000 jobs” - who worked these numbers? Diane Abbott working for the scum now?
