What's that supposed to even mean , why would he be bought otherethan we thought he was a good number 2, which he has been.What other reason would be buy him for other than we thought he'd be good?

There not good enough and very rarely will be. And if they are wont be second choice

Was a while back tbf and he was a teenager. Might be pushing 6'4 now, but he's definitely not 6'5/6 which the internet suggests.

A blinkered view of an ever changing market, but Ortega will leave this season, Ederson next, we will not find anyone to match Ederson at what he is good at. So i will repeat, City`s second choice keeper remains the best place for any English keeper not called up for international duty

So you want to go from Ortega to a English keep who doesn’t even get I the England team that’s a massive step down

This is an honest question. Why is it a step down? Ortega has not gotten into the German team, not once at the age of 32.

Even Ron Robert Zieler has six caps for Germany. Timo Horn, in my opinion, is a better keeper than Zieler and hasn't been capped at the senior level. Perhaps it is because he played most of his career at Köln.

Think this season starts with Eddie as 1 and Trafford on the bench and slowly changes to Trafford as number 1.

Depending on title runs etc.

Eddie had a lot of injuries last year.

Only if you believe the German goalkeeping situation is better than the English one
 
If Ederson goes, we should be going for someone like Diogo Costa.
Today doesn't get any better with Donnarumma in goal.
We are quite clearly going to persist in playing out the back under pressure so should hire a keeper who has that as a strength.
