Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

This new rule has been brought in off the back of last season, where a lot of members didn’t renew. The Club needed a new revenue stream and another way to push memberships onto other supporters. I get it from a business point of view, but for us Blues who just want to transfer a ticket to a mate or family member for the odd match – or even a last-minute change – it ends up costing that person a lot of money, even though you’ve already paid for the ticket. It’s even worse if you’ve got a child’s ticket and need to send it to an adult, because there’s an extra fee on top.

Cheers for breaking it down mate. Can I just check on your last point.

Here’s my current situation;
Two mates of mine have season cards, I had a match day membership but let it lapse last year. Last year they were able to transfer me tickets to use when they weren’t around.

If I login to my account I can see I’m in the friends and family section, I still have my supporters number and see my mates season cards.

On your last point, would I be correct that there’s no point in a matchday membership and I am best off renewing as a citizen membership so they can transfer me tickets during the year or in my situation shall I just get added to the non-member list and not pay the fee at all.

Or do I just renew matchday membership and they can still transfer me tickets?
Sounds like unless you are going to be going to other games this season in addition to when they aren't going and offer it to you, you're best getting them to add you as a non paid member and save yourself the fee. Assuming they haven't already done their nominations

The new changes should have been communicated ahead of the cup scheme deadlines. I invariably miss two or three midweek home games per season due to work commitments and transfer my ticket to other season ticket holders for them to bring a 'guest' with them.
Now I can't do that and in the case of League Cup and Champions League games, I can't list the tickets on the exchange either so will be out of pocket with the added bonus that certain CL tickets aren't cheap. I'd have thought twice about staying on the schemes had I known this was how it was going to be.
Why can’t you list cup games on exchange? Is that also prohibited?

Just when you think the club have got it right on pricing they introduce an alternative empty seat guarantee mechanism.

Lets see if they backtrack if we have another crap season with another 8000 seats to fill.

I have had my season ticket for 45 years now and because of my 2 lads (one season ticket between the two) have continued to renew both our tickets.

However, with my 2 lads not attending as many games as in the past due to work and partners I don't think it will be long before I fcuk my season tickets off and just get tickets for the odd away and euro away game. There's always a way.

I love City but it sickens me that after the great leap forward in ticket pricing we then get this shitshow, what a bunch of wankers.
Do not give up your season tickets

Exchange has only ever been for league games, up to now at least.
Transfer was handy to offer to other season ticket holders not on cup scheme if someone on cup scheme could not make a particular midweek. This might be another Season ticket holder (now prohibited by city) but one who hadn't got a ticket already, so not even like they bringing anyone extra who city don't get a fee from

Have the OSC’s been given any information on this, apart from the generic email that we all got?
What consultation with City Matters and other representative groups has taken place?
I don’t know who the City Matters rep is now that Alex’s tenure is up but surely some representations have been made, or will be made about this sudden 7 day warning, that’s come out of the blue? Pardon the pun.
Like @Tbilisi ,it sickens me how the Club are behaving and treating us. Chasing money over loyalty and yes, I know it’s a business but without us fans, they’d be nothing.
If they start to lose more of us, they won’t be able to replace the loyalty, and particularly goodwill, that goes with being a match going fan, through thick and thin. No one or two match visiting fan is going to replace us and those blue ‘empty seats at home’ will be evermore prevalent.
A rethink and about turn is needed on this, and fast.

I agree. You're better off without a paid membership in that situation

I didn’t know that. From our family only my son is on the cup schemes. If he can’t go, he transfers to one of us. But I assume now he can’t transfer to us as we’re season ticket holders. And he can’t put it in exchange. So it will be empty.

What a sack of shite. All it does is force me to list it on the exchange when i normally transfer it to another ST holder. Force all those people who can't go to list it on the exchange so they can sell it to a tourist for double the price. No doubt more than makes up for the ticket price reductions.

I'm still in touch with many of the CM reps and they were given notice of the changes but weren't given much opportunity to discuss them. So the usual fait accompli.

They are going back to the club to try to get them to see sense.

Good point, so yeah probably worth me getting a matchday membership and then they can either transfer a ticket or if the allocations drop I might be able to buy my own. Cheers!

I don't think they'll be able to add you if you have any paid membership. So if you want to buy a ticket independently as well then you'd need to upgrade to the £35 one.

Apologies if the answer is already in this thread but has anyone been able to transfer tickets to a member yet? The option to transfer is greyed out for me

Assuming so at this point. Unless there is an exception for cup games, or at least if they know the recipient is not already going to the game. New Attendance rules only apply to league games but can't see anything on new transfer rules info to suggest that it does not include all games. Be good to have confirmed by city matters if any reps are on here. I would ask city via twitter as they were always quick to respond, but seem to have been locked out

Had a go at this just now and given up in disgust.

Managed to register my wife as a supporter but she gets no identification other than her email.

Went to the add 3 non members and keep getting a message that I have too many allocations already, but I only have my son and the lad who sits in front of me in my friends and family.

Then it keeps showing 2 items in my basket which I managed to delete at the first three attempts but now it will not let me delete the current one and has some how attached my son to the order.

What an absolute bloody faff.
Is your wife a non member ?
If she is and you have registered her you will not be able to register anymore non members .
All non members have to be registered at the same time.
