If he was worth keeping we wouldn't be struggling to shift him on a loan

Hopefully we can at least get a loan fee and his wages min 80% picked up and he has a good season, best case

Does nothing keeping him here, waste of a space

if he is loaned he will be back next summer with 12 months left on his contract. if he does very well on loan we might get somewhat acceptable fee at that point maybe like 15-20m but does look like nobody even want to offer that up as a buy option with a loan certainly not as a mandatory buy option or something that is triggered after certain clauses.

if he has a horrible/mediocre loan spell with injuries, confidence issues, drink problems or just not good enough displays then not sure what happens next summer. loaning him out for his last 12 months too? lol

if we dont like what Everton will offer which will be a shit offer surely, we can wait till last week of the window until Juventus or Milan turns up with 30% of salary covered, no loan fee and option to buy for 11m euros next summer which they dont activate but come back 2 weeks later next year July to offer 5.9m euros in multiple payment schedule over 6 years...

Stats aren’t everything though. Davis silva must have had the highest assist of assists ever. I recon Grealish was involved in some stage in most of the goals that have been scored whilst on the pitch. I do feel it is probably time to move on though if possibly

Yep. Scholes stats were awful as well.

He didn’t even play against Preston and won’t be taken to the friendly in Italy. He is done.

It will be a loan because no club is mad enough to pay him 300k a week
Lets hope we learn from this....

Please dont compare Grealish to David Silva...!!!!

One is an absolute football genius...the other is Grealish who in all honesty isnt fit to lace the boots of David Silva.

I was using Merlin to make a point about Grealish - not comparing him. That would be madness. Just making a point that stats are more often than not deceiving

The irony is the shite that started most weeks wasn't performing better than him last year. We remained loyal to underperforming and out of form players.
Nah, they did. He didn't perform when he was in earlier on in the season. Then had niggles here and there. Was in and out and by the time he got back to full health, others were performing better.

I mean Nunes in 3 games on the wing damn near outproduced Grealish's whole season. And Nunes didn't even get to keep his spot.

By mid season, Marmoush came in and was producing Then Doku had a stretch when he was our only outlet for creativity. All 3 were significantly more productive than Grealish.
Even the often maligned Savio was producing early doors before he lost form during the downturn and never got it back.

But all 4 names I've mentioned outproduced Grealish.

Although I think they are all of similar talent levels with differing flaws. Grealish was the weakest at goals and assists production.

His lows may not have been as low as Savio's awful period. But his highs were always 'Meh.'

I can see why a manager would rather give the chance to a guy whomight hit a 9/10 performance even though he has many 2/10 games in him over a guy who is a constantly giving you a 6/10.

While, i wholely disagreed with Pep's decision at the time ( and still now) that was probably the reason he went with EcheMessi in the final over Grealish.

Grealish is who you want to put in when you are up 2 and want to run out the clock. He is not the guy you want to bring on to chase a goal.

Every attacking player we have including, Echemessi, Bobb, and Even Nunes, are better options when urgency and chasing a goal is the situation.

Its just what it is. A great servant, good player, and wonderful lad ( I've heard), but the facts are the facts

Pretty fucking mental that we gave him those wages.
We paid 100 million for him. That fee dictates he should have high wages

This should be a nore to the "Pay the 80 million fo Tino" crowd. If we do, we'd have to pay him a wage that's in line with an 80 million fullback.
