I understand your irritation and I've no doubt you have some very rational conversations with your Liverpool chums about the cost and value of your players.

We're a MCFC fanbase and whether you like or not we are perceived differently when it comes to spending money on players compared to yourselves, the rags, Arsenal...... in fact, with every other club in the league.

That's not paranoia, let's look at the evidence.

When the media report on your spending they refer to it as "strengthening while being on top." The media have also bent over backwards to explain to the Great British public how Liverpool FC can spend all this money in these constrictive times of FFP and PSR.

The media do something similar with the rags too, except rather than offer a detailed report of how they can spend so much money without European football; they turn a blind eye and hope that the size of the club will explain it away. Historically with them it was: "The War Chest"

When MCFC however, have the audacity to buy players and strengthen we hear a very different tone from the media. Things like: "City Slicker's Splurge" and "City Splash the Cash" or "Money Talks" all written with a hint of spite and just enough innuendo to raise the hackles of our red brethren.

Ironically, what the media don't report is that MCFC is one of the most profitable clubs in Europe.

Winning the premier league four times in a row helps with shit like that.

I don't expect you to recognise this or admit it, however, I would invite you to pay close attention to the commentary team when your new boy "Florian Wirtz" is on the ball.

Let's see if he's treated any differently to our Jack Grealish who was repeatedly referred to as: "The one hundred million pound man"

So, of course I understand your irritation for having things taken out of context.

I am not 'the media' not am I the entire fanbase!

The major worry for me, with transfer prices, are they putting the club in danger?

Are you, as a supporter, judging a players performances, based on the fee paid?

I don't think I've ever watched a player score a goal and then thought about 'is a that good enough goal for X amount?'

Jack Grealish was the first premier league player to cost £100m? Torres cost £50m? Andy Carroll cost £35m? All overly mentioned in the media and by supporters of other clubs.

It is infuriating, especially when they don't hit the heights they are capable of individually. It gets mentioned even more.

As a City supporter, you've enjoyed, witnessing a lot of success, with Grealish in the squad. I personally, don't think you should care, about the £100m pound man thing.

Will Wirtz get similar treatment? No idea. If he takes a while to settle then he probably will get it from 'the scum' journalists and media personalities. I am sure some of the City fanbase and fans of other clubs will jump on it too.

I'll base my opinion on what I see from him and how successful the team is.

Some of the articles, written by journalists, from months ago, still have words incorrectly spelt. How are they still employed? How can one trust, what they are reading, when the one telling you, can not even be bothered to take a bit of time to proof read it?

I am sorry that you feel that way. There are quite a number of members that will engage in football conversation. Some, like yourself, don't want to do that.

I have not said, nor done, anything like that of which you accuse me. I do not, have two different accounts, sit on a forum, then talk to myself. I do not 'camp' here.

I must confess I have done that years ago. With a housemate at Uni who was a Southampton fan we went to Selhurst Park to see them against Palace. Young lad called Shearer on the pitch missed a few chances and I did comment, "Whats all the fuss about"

Perhaps like me, he wants an alternate view, to have to think about things....even perhaps to engage with others whom he may not come in contact with otherwise!

I think, this is either the 2nd or 3rd time, you've posted this video whilst I've been a member.

It may have been removed by a moderator.

I will state again, that this was a despicable thing to do. Not only does it put those on the City bus in danger, it puts everyone, in danger. It is an horrendous moment.

I think, you won't care, that you are set in your beliefs.
 
So Nunez leaves 3 years into a 6 year contract for about half the fee they paid for him having not far off a 1 in 4 record and starting just 8 games last season and there is genuine questions as to whether hes flopped or not.

What metric hasnt he been a colossal flop? Remember, The dippers en masse all told us he was better than Haaland.

I will continue to post it at every opportunity as a reminder. I’ve experienced myself the merseyside welcome in my younger years visiting both grounds.
Pep being spat at by one of your fans and the punishment with him being relocated to another stand.

What mask? This video was posted a few days ago. It might still be there. It might now have been posted 2 or 3 times. I am unsure how many times.

You refuse to accept logic on this matter.

Looking forward to see how the ferals will cope with the new rule about goalkeepers handling the ball outside the area .Don't know if it's still in effect for tomorrow or not.
