Need the full details but dropping to 20m might have secured us the sell on and buy back etc which is more lucrative than any money now.

If he was a Liverpool player the same deal would have been reported as way in excess of £60m

Seeing £20m will send anyone’s head west. But if that then includes a good buy back (avoiding another Palmer situation) / a huge sell on clause then it’s completely different.
He’s got a year left on his contract and he’s simply not going to play for us. I don’t think it’s a bad bit of business (providing the above)

We always wanted 25m for him, he's got 1 year left.
To get a buy back, match bid, sell on % like we have with others is great if thats what bought this down 5m.
40m was always ridiculous. Not really sure what happened there if it was us telling Forest to go fuck themselves or us trying to get more money from another team no idea, was never going to be 40m, always 25m.

Yeah the price dropping, if true, is strange. Forest have some massive sell-on clauses especially with Hudson-Odoi, so either that or a buy-back is likely.
