He won them games because he's probably the best keeper and best penalty stopper in the world. I've nothing against him as a keeper, far from it, I'm questioning whether he's good enough with his feet for a Pep team and I don't see it.
Ortega is decent with his feet for a keeper yet causes us issues when he plays, not least because attackers know to press him into rushing. No one bothers to press Ederson, as he'll make you look daft whilst simultaneously taking half your team out of play with a pass injury midfield. Donnarumma is a definite step down from that, I'm not convinced he's even as comfortable as Ortega, so we can swap to him, but we would need to change style and not pass it around the 6yd box

yeah it did to me but Im hoping its trueThat sounds a bit fantastical to me. I think he already knows where he's going.
Big gamble to take. We all know the Premier League will let the Rags spend what they like next season too even if its finishing 15th again.Dont know how realistic this is but TH on X is saying that the club could be playing a bit of a game here and that bidding for Donarumma (or making it known that we are supposedly after him is forcing utd to go for him now...utd want a keeper and they also want Baleba (we also want Baleba but not till next year) - utd cannt afford both Baleba and Donarumma now so by forcing them to get Donarumma now paves the way for us next year to get Baleba
Donnarumma himself and Luis Enrique have confirmed he will be leaving PSG.Signs a new contract or off to the rags
Pretty obvious were all this is leading...
"Donnarumma turns down City to join United"...
We've seen it all before, Berbatov, Sanchez, Pogba, Maguire ect...
I'm not disagreeing with that, I'm saying Donnarumma doesn't fit a typical Pep profile of a keeper and we'd need to change style. Maybe we will, but feels a bit like Saul on the road to Damascus if we suddenly have a keeper hitting row Z constantlyNot disagreeing with you, but maybe we've decided being pressed wouldn't be such a bad thing? Instead of teams being scared to press us? Instead they have a go and we pass through/round/over then and then actually have some space to attack?
Thought the same but couldn't be bothered getting involved in the debate.PSG are the best possession based side in the world. If he can play for them and win the CL, he can play for City.
This should be obvious.
And yet they want him out because he just isn’t good enough and expects wages that are just too high. He is perfect for UnitedPSG are the best possession based side in the world. If he can play for them and win the CL, he can play for City.

Don't see it with United. They guy has just won the Champions League and now he's going to go to a team who isn't in Europe at all next year and doesn't have any recent pedigree at all to say they can get there in the near future.
Galatasaray has to stump up to sign Ederson, if that doesn't happen, this Donnarumma thing is a non starter anyway.Rags journalist briefed they are not in for him. They are happy with Onana.
So it’s just us
