You may well have contacts who’ve told you Eddie wants a new deal at City, in which case fair enough mate - that would change my view.

But if you’re going off the same information as the rest of us, then there’s absolutely nothing whatsoever to suggest he wants to stay at City beyond his current deal - quite the opposite, it seems he’s willing to go pretty much anywhere, as he’s decided the time is right to leave.

No point in offering a player a new deal if you know they have no interest in accepting one - and I would take the lack of movement from either City or Ederson on this as acknowledgement of that position.

City will know where every player stands on their future at the Club, and will negotiate new deals with those they want to keep who are happy to stay.

Seems clear Eddie doesn’t fall into this camp.

Shame, as I love the player - but we’ll move on, as we have with all the Club legends who’ve left us in the past.

- can't collect crosses or command the penalty area;
- has shit distribution;
- doesn't fit our system because some people on here know what Pep is thinking and know more than him;
- negates the point of the signings we've made;

- is weak on the line;
- can't play as a sweeper(!);
- being let go by PSG because Enrique has found him out, and Pep can't see it;
- will disrupt the continuity that we would get if we kept Ederson.

Bloody hell, we are FUCKED I tell you, in fact ROYALLY SHAFTED, if we go on to buy this atrocious multiple trophy-winning goalkeeper. What have we come to!

All we want is someone who's like a 6ft5 Messi with the goalkeeping abilities of prime Lev Yashin on steroids. Is that too much to ask for?

He's always ben tipped to become a true great. He's been around for a long time and had up and downs like any young player.

One looks at what he has achieved, potential to improve aspects of his game and that he is probably 4 - 8 years from his prime.

Precisely . Umming and aaring about signing the best keeper in the world by a mile because he’s not great with his feet but guess he’s a keeper who uses his hands to save shots . An elite player and aren’t we suppose to be an elite club .

The lack of any movement on this would tend to suggest City haven’t come up with a good offer because they know the player wants to leave.

Sometimes players decide they want a new challenge, so it doesn’t matter what their current Club might offer them - they want to try and find a deal elsewhere.

Donnarumma has been underwhelming in the league last season and fantastic in the Champsions League. He's been great in the league the season before, so could be a blip in form.

Fuck knows but it certainly puts to bed this mad idea that Ederson never goes long and is the king of Tika Taka on the edge of the box.

Anyone with eyes can tell he's the best in the world going long.
