Pep Ljinders appointed as assistant coach | James French joins as set-piece coach (p15)

Not seen anyone report a fee for Bettinelli. Considered Nypan, but then it is 6 players rather than the 5 stated, so it is still being a bit bendy with the truth for the sake of a headline, which was the point I was making.

If we have to shoehorn figures in and have this discussion, to make the headline fit, then my point stands imho
Ahh, it's within the article rather than the headline but I never thought of adding the number of players up anyway so fair do's.

I don't know about you, but I was a big Chelsea fan until 2012
Many of us were and are ready to revert back, I mean see the light when this oil cheat team get relegated to the conference.....

( FWIW I've been a City Blue since 1969, but did that tine ever exist, footy certainly didn't!!!).

And before being a Chelsea fan I was obviously a rag. Weren't we all?!
As a walking infant I was taken to the swamp alternate Saturdays by my older brothers (one of whom was a triallist there) but after 1957 only went with them to Maine Rd except for derbies. Also a regular Friday nighter at County.

Interesting use of offside by the defense yesterday seemed well drilled in its application down to Pep2 or James French maybe even Kolo?

Think it's partly down to Ruben & Stones being the central pairing, they know each other well and have always been a good combo.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it but there certainly were some Liverpool elements in our play yesterday. Haaland’s second goal wouldn’t have happened last season. We would just have played it back waiting for Wolves to reorganise. Instead we saw a perfect, beautiful counter attack.

Also, it felt like we were willing to sacrifice some possession in order to get Wolves further up the pitch, giving us lots of space to hurt them. Very refreshing to see rather than the tedious possession play against packed defenses that we’ve seen over and over the last couple of seasons.

There was a point during the game yesterday where Pep was staring into no man's land during a break in play and Ljinders tapped him on his leg, excited to give him some tactical feedback. Loved that and it's what we missed last season - one of the staff to be proper invested in us
Ljinders could be our best signing. He challenges Pep.

Think he has been working on our ofside trap with our defence looked very good Saturday

Stones was exceptional. The goal that was disallowed he first of all instinctively blocked the shot and then got back up ready for the cross and took a big step out to play the runner offside. I feel like that was more about Stones' ability than any specific training though.

Was Ljinders there today? Didn’t see him in the technical area at all from my seat
