Trautman winning a cup final, playing on with a broken neck? Corrigan; from a clown to a hero and fantastic for us for a decade - capped for England when Clemence and Shilton were in their prime - and all with much lesser teams in front of them. I rely on what my dad told me about Frank Swift.

Nothing against Ederson - he was great in Istanbul, and has a great left foot. To suggest he's our greatest ever goalkeeper - which was the comment I was responding to - is something I'd expect off one of his relatives, not a dyed-in-the-wool City fan.

Some good references in that first paragraph and my Dad used to say Trautman was better than Swift.
