We play to and therefore need to win every game. Which by your claim above means Ake would never ever start. Which he does, so it is clearly complete bollocks.

Nathan has certainly attracted new City followers and here on the south coast, now just AFC Bournemouth and Brighton in the PL, both clubs deserve applause for great seasons, as does Nathan.

Ake is a lovely person and a top team player. But selling him makes a lot more sense than selling Akanji, if people listen to what Pep has said many times in the last 4-5 months.

Doubt it because we would have kept Reis and used Gvardiol more as a rotational LB.

I genuinely think Pep wants a much smaller squad and worst case scenario is we bring back Reis in January.
 
Don’t really understand this one. Need the cover assuming akanji leaves and ake is hg so someone else would still have to leave or left out to comply with champs league regulations

I haven’t included Akanji as looks to be off as well. That’s 2 for each spot. Afcon year so Ait Nouri out for a month. Stones always a risk.

Akanji can go and we wouldn’t replace, but both means we are looking at someone else 100%
 
He’s better than there. But would be a brilliant move for Everton and I presume relations are good at the minute after they took Grealish off our hands.

He also played a lot of games last season through the pain barrier at a point where Pep was calling out players who weren’t willing to do so.

Also I hope he is right as I like Ake…so calm when not injured!
