Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

I think you will be wrong with this one, if savinho isn’t getting replaced then I don’t think echeverri would have gone out on loan

Don't forget we need 4 academy players under 21 on our books too.

Nico O'Reilly and Rico Lewis fill 2 slots but 2 more have to be filled.. Mukasa and McAidoo would not surprise me.

So Spurs dont want to pay the fee but will accelerate talks after the game? Sounds plausible...........
Levy is a ****.

He may well be looking at offering us a shit fee with loads of ads ons which Hugo is still pissing himself looking at. £5 million for winning the CL etc.

Do we have an expert on the squad rules for both PL and UCL? I think it'd be pretty sweet if we had a stickied thread at the top with the rules and our current squad status

The guy who reported it in Brazil is considered very credible by people in Brazil and apparently has a direct line to Savinho's agent.
Do you yourself believe that Spurs would have bid circa £70m for Savinho?

I think sticking it to Levy is a lot more important than selling Savinho for peanuts.

Don't forget the market..

Sesko 70 mil.
Rasmus 80 mil.
Antony 90 mil.
Isak 150 mil.

The market is the market!

80mil Euros is the exact price we ask for Savinho. Hopefully we accept so we can get Rodrygo, Madrid is willing to sell him for 90mil Euros now, even less as the transfer window is coming to an end allegedly.
It would be crazy to not accept double the money we paid for him after only 1 season in which he had 1 PL goal.
So if we can double our money on a transfer you would let Haaland go for £100m? And before you reply with "after one season", what did Haaland do in his first season?

Spurs squad is in pretty pathetic state going into a CL campaign I don’t think they have any option but to cough up

I wrote in my first post after the news emerged that there are roughly two options to sell Savinho to Spurs: for 50m (with an option to buy him back in case he's another Palmer) or for 70m.

The valuation of 70m seems spot on, but the first option, as unlikely as it may seem, is, imo, still on the table if Spurs want to buy Savinho *and* another player. Admittedly, it's not likely but it is not ruled out. If he develops into a sensational player, not completely unlikely, we'll have the chance to re-sign him.

As things stand, I think he will stay: we have only 3 wingers and replacing him with Rodrygo is expensive. Given Rodrygo's wages and his stagnation in the last 2 seasons, we may want over 70m. Levy won't pay.

Good business should always overrule personal grievances. Confuse the two and you make yourself transparent.

As TH posted,Mr K is a good business man who deals at Government level with unsavoury people who happen to need investment.

Nah fuck that, Levy is a twat. That'll be why I'm not successful at all in business ;)

I just meant because it's largely based on goal output rather than tactical role or fit.

I don't think it's controversial to suggest most of the clubs in Europe would appear to value Rodrygo and Savinho higher than Semenyo.
I actually agree they would. I was just saying I'd prefer Semenyo. I just don't think that's as much an uninformed opinion as you intimated.
All good...no worries...
