Serious question. How many of us have seen enough of Rodrygo? Bar when he knocked us out of CL. Is he really any good?

He can play both. Really he's a left winger but has played a lot on the right recently.Can Rodrygo play on the left, isn’t he a right winger?
On the right we already have Foden, Bobb and Cherki
The talk of him wanting to leave Madrid is partly because he plays on the right but also how the left hand side of the pitch is dominated by Vini, Bellingham and Mbappe - in other words 3 absolute prima-donnas.
I think he could operate on both sides for us and I'm sure would be open to it. Word is he loves Pep (he was a Barca fan as a boy apparently) and Pep really rates him and wants him if Savio goes.
I really think its the perfect transfer for so many reason.
He would really help replace Jack as well as Savio.

He's decent but it wouldn't be completely game-changing for us. Probably the 8-10th best player in the squad.
Doku and Savinho aren't miles off him, with age in mind, and maybe have higher potential long term. Maybe Bobb too, but that's harder to judge as we've just seen less of him. Rodrygo has a lot more big game experience and impact than any of those guys, but I'm always a bit wary of Real players like that because Real just collect impactful moments in Europe.
If Rodrygo comes in expecting to play every minute and distorting the team it's probably not worth it, as he's not really as good as Foden. But if he replaces Sav and can cope with sitting on the bench at times and not needing to play from the left (two things he allegedly isn't happy with at madrid) he's the best replacement for Sav that's viable imo.

I asked that question about 50 pages back. All I got was ‘likes’ but no answers
But that isn’t to say I wouldn’t sell Savio for 70mil and buy someone who at money-time knows where the net is
I’m sure Bayern fans had similar conversations about buying Robben and Inter about buying Sinjider - no guarantees but he can’t score against us if he plays for us(he’s not Richard Dunne…)

No winger will be up to it when going against 3 defenders all the time with no helping fullback - yet Doku is still top 5 chances creator within the last 3 years. That says somethingI don’t think Doku is up to it and if he isn’t sold this window will be gone in 12 months. Probably to West Ham, Galatasaray or something on that level
